We have stayed in many hotels, around the UK and further afield.

As a visitor to the grounds we have always wondered what the house itself is like. And can I say its amazing. Truly amazing.

We stayed in the Prince of Wales Suite, a lot of money dont get me wrong but if you can afford it please do. You will not regret it. Memories like this last forever.

The pool is so nice and tranquil, hidden away, clubhouse food was good at lunch, evening meal in the restaurant - food was good, not the best ive had for the money but still very nice. Service from arrival to departure was exceptional.

We had the romance package, again its a few bob but for that special occasion, well worth it.

Cant wait to visit again, dont know what else to say. Just wow.

Lovely to know that we helped create some special memories for you. The Prince of Wales suite has a wonderful feeling to it and enjoys the best of views. We will have it all ready for you when you get a chance to join us again. If it is in the winter months we will even have the fire lit for you. Kind regards. Sue W

A beautiful hotel in fantastic grounds.Entrance hall and Terrace Dining Room look very grand. Staff very friendly and obliging.Headwaiter in restaurant difficult to understand ( perhaps French; spoke English like Raymond Blanc... not very clearly). Our "low price" lunch was disappointing for this type of hotel. Chicken and lamb dishes very mediocre. Puddings likewise. Presentation of all 3 courses very average. Could do much better in my view. This "low price" lunch was around £28-30 for 3 courses whereas the larger/a la carte menu was £60 for 3 courses. Given the poor
quality of ingredients for the "low price" lunch one wonders whether the higher costing menu would have been worth it. I have my doubts. Nevertheless it was an occasion.

Celebrated my daughter's 40th b'day with afternoon tea. Excellent food and presentation. Absolutely memorable and would recommend to anyone wishing for grand surroundings. Very polite and attentive staff. Housekeeper showed us Lady Aster's room, which was magnificent to look at and an excellent room for a special occasion. No faults at all. Easy to find & park.

Having stayed at many relais & chateaux hotels this hotel was one that we had promised to visit for a long time, the hotel is a beautiful building with fabulous gardens, we had a lovely lunch in The Club Room where we sat outside, we were looking forward to our evening meal which was in The Terrace Dining Room it started off ok with drinks served in the entrance hall we were give our menus and wine list to choose from we were asked if we had chosen from the minute which we had we gave our order and when asked if we had chosen any wine my husband asked for a few more monuments as it is a very large selection of wines, no one cameto take our wine order, someone came to take us to our table and we told them that we had not give our wine order yet they quickly took this order and another few minutes passed where we were taken into the dinning room, our starters arrived they were ok but the mains were not very good I ordered lobster there was three very small pieces ,the chicken oysters skin was soft, the rice that was with dish was not very good, my husband ordered the rabbit it was gristley and he also had a small bone in it he left most of it the mains very disappointing we then ordered the cheese as I was still quite hungry this was very good with a good selection only we asked for a sliced green apple to go with the cheese they seem to have been in short supply as they only sent out a few slices we had to ask for more, the deserts was ok but you can't go wrong with ice cream all in all disappointing evening meal we did have a reduction in our meal bill as when we were asked how are meal was we did say, breakfast he next morning was very very slow with one or two guests complaint all in all a disappointing meal experience but a beautiful hotel and gardens.

My sincere apologies that we let you down with your dining experience. Please do come again post October as we will have a new culinary experience to offer when Andre Garrett joins the team.
I am delighted you love the hotel and we feel sure your next visit will be an all round good one.
