Went here with a group of work colleagues to watch the England footie game versus Ukraine. Food was ok for a large bustle pub and quite cheap. Service was average and the food took a long time to come to the table and then two of our party still didn't have there food until the rest of us at finished. Not geared to parties , I think! Ok, but would not be my first choice in future.

Don't get me wrong the food is cheap, but the chicken wings and most items are deep fried so pretty dry so make sure you have some sauce to soften them up! Its value for money! Myself and some friends spent £20 on food, and yes we would do that again! But its certainly no palace! Its such a shame the garden is mess and has broken furniture. It would be lovely if it was decorated and tidied too.
The inside is not much better tbh and could also do with an overhaul.

It was a great night out, but I believe anything is a great night out if you are with great people! Don't take people here if you want to impress!!! You will be let disappointed!

We stayed as part of a wedding party so there was a large group. The hotel is part of a pub and the rooms are dark, small and a bit dingy. The stairs to some of the rooms were very steep and quite hazardous. Our bathroom had not been cleaned and the toilet was unflushed. I accidentally left a shirt in the room, rang and emailed several times and they claimed nothing was left, so I assume the staff have bagged it! The check in staff didn't give some of our group keys for the front door so they were locked out when returning late from the wedding reception. Overall really poor.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere

Only stayed the one night as we were attending a wedding in Stowe gardens.
On arrival staff were very friendly,it's refreshing to see customer facing staff with a genuine smile on their faces.

Rooms were clean and of a good size, breakfast was enjoyable.

I would stay here by choice again.

In a word "Ronseal" does what it says on the tin.

Stayed at this hotel one night, which was enough. Dark dingy room adjacent to a very noisey ventillation unit. On complaining we were moved to an equally dark dingy room in the attic, We would not consider this hotel to be of 3star quality, and due to the steep and narrow stairs very difficult to manage with luggage. The rest of the hotel was in desperate need of refurbishment. The only thing we found acceptable was the staff, who were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: stay at another hotel

It's hard to describe how utterly dire the White Hart is. Filthy dirty, dilapidated, and a staff who have clearly given up hope. What was once a fine coaching inn is now proud to offer burgers, chips and Sky Sports. You'd be better off in a tent.

Sorry about last 2 reviews but we have just stayed in this hotel and if you look past the wood panelled walls and dark furniture - after all it was an old coaching inn -you will have a pleasant stay. The food is exellent and good value for money and the staff are very pleasant. Any problems with the room and they try to sort them out straight away. Believe new Manager is now in charge so feel they are trying to make improvements.

Room Tip: If you dont like a lot of stairs choose 1st floor and at the back of hotel front rooms overlooking...
