A pub near the town centre. First time visited in a large group. Service was good and so was the food. Good selection of real ales which is always nice to see. Friendly atmosphere. Could not fault it. Better than other pubs in the town. We will be going again.

I have lived in Buckingham a few years and always this pub comes up as one to visit. I haven't been before but decided to go for lunch with a friend a few days ago. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. The place was cosy enough with a nice fire place but not very welcoming. The bar staff were to put it lightly very uninterested in the customers the were there to serve. The food was mediocre and the drink price astronomical. I will stick to my regular haunts for lunch from now own and The Woolpack unfortunately will not be one of them. The place could be great - go on management sort it out.

Nice pub with a few decent ales but it seemed to have lost a fair bit of character since our last visit but worth a look for the ales alone

A no-frills kind of pub with a great menu and what appears to be a dedicated following. Good selection of reasonably-priced wines and some unusual beers. Our hotel manager(Best Western) recommended this place as one that the locals frequent: well said. If I lived here I'd be a local too!

Have been to this pub a few times as it is near my family. Roaring fire, a fiddlier in the corner and a great Sunday Carvery. Staff are great and attentive too. The only negative comment would be that the carvery wasn't as warm as it could be :(
