“Very good”
Reviewed March 24, 2014 via mobile

I've been here several times, its very good. Probably the most formal and expensive restaurant in Buckingham but you get what you pay for. Good service, excellent wine list, high quality food and a comprehensive menu. I would recommend Villiers for couples and groups.

“Just right”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

The welcome, the service and of course the food - everything was just right. We were a party of four having a birthday celebration. We went a la carte, all four had different starters but all chose the chateaubriand for our main. My mackeral starter was full of flavour and the chateaubriand was a very tasty piece of meat. When it's all this good, what more can I say except Thank you for helping us to have a lovely evening!

“Excellent meal and service”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

Perhaps the premier restaurant in Buckingham. The restaurant is in Villiers Hotel and booking is advised. There is an excellent stone flag floored bar with an open fire and TV for Sports fans where you can drink a decent real ale or a selection of varied wines by the glass.
Moving through to the restaurant, it is well laid out with Windows overlooking the courtyard and parking on 2 sides. The food is excellent and varied, offering fixed price and a la carte as well as the ability to mix the 2. A 2 course meal for 2 with coffee, wine and drinks can cost from around £60, to £100 if you push the boat out. For most people this would be a "special occasion" restaurant, though obviously hotel guests dine there as well, so it is always busy. Service is excellent and Martin the Manager is always willing to recommend particular wines to suit varied tastes and budgets.
We will eat there again ( and again!!)
