What a joy to visit this restaurant/ pub! Gracious host & jolly polite team. Well done. Chef obviously enjoys his craft & is happy to share key ingredients. So simple but such a treat. A must!!

We dined as a family for a birthday meal. The pub is intimate, cosy and with a stylish bar as you walk in.

The owner was present who was very friendly and accommodating along with his team of helpful staff.

The food was fantastic. The adults all ate roasts and they were plentiful and fresh. Our meat was cooked to perfection.

I was pleasantly surprised that the Yorkshire puddings were home made - I can’t remember the last time I ate out when this was the case.

My only suggestion - I was the only person drinking wine and it would of been good if there was slightly more selection for ‘glasses of wine’.

Thanks again for a great Sunday roast.

We visited the Red Lion in the second week of December. We received a warm welcome into a pub with a homely atmosphere.
We had a meal from the Christmas menu and it was very enjoyable. The meal was delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely return.

It’s great to discover a local pub that has gone to great efforts to make new visitors feel welcome as we were tonight! The log fires were on and the atmosphere was wonderfully cosy.
Also impressive was the menu - specials were available in addition and we tried the salt and pepper squid (freshly cooked) followed by risotto of the week (porcini mushroom, fennel and courgette) again beautifully fresh and delicately flavoured, pie of the day (chicken and ham with a most impressive puff pastry top) and fish of the day - lemon sole which my husband readily devoured.
Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful and certainly convinced us that a return visit will be planned very soon!

A very friendly pub, with very tasteful decor, and a varied menu.
Food on the menu suited both the adventurous and plain tastes of members in my family.
Alternative vegetables were offered too, and there was a children’s menu.
Everyone enjoyed their meals and appreciated the very pleasant service. Altogether we spent a very pleasant afternoon in very pleasant surroundings.
