The Saracen's Head accommodation is comfortable, clean, well presented and has plenty of character of a traditional ol' English Pub. The staff are friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. After dropping our bags off, we spent the day walking around Amersham browsing the lovely shops and having a picnic in the park. In the evening we returned and enjoyed a scrumptious traditional pub meal before listening to an acoustic band which was fantastic. The next morning we had a lovely and filling English Breakfast. This place has a warm place in our heart, we will definitely visit again.

We have just returned from a few days stay in Amersham. The Saracens Head is a lovely old pub with rooms to let - We stayed in a room at the front of the premises, above the courtyard entrance, accessed via the public bar. Only downside was I couldn’t resist a nice pint or two of Greene King IPA beer prior to heading upstairs! Our room was a decent size, very clean, nice & warm with an en suite bathroom at the end of an enclosed corridor. The staff were very friendly particularly landlord Kerry. Cooked breakfasts were great & the location was an excellent base for our travelling around Buck's. On-road parking can be tricky, but during our 3 days we always found a space when we returned & even though on occasions a slight walk from the hotel, our car was perfectly safe on the road. Kerry mentioned off road parking was also available a short distance down the road in the British Legion car park. Amersham has many choices of restaurant, however our favourite was Ask on the Broadway, just around the corner from the Saracen’s. All in all, we would have no hesitation in recommending the Saracen's Head Inn to anyone looking for accommodation in Amersham.

Large double room and hearty breakfast, very friendly staff. All nice and clean. Only one thing lets it down on the room we had and that it was close to where the pub smoking area was, didn't smell the smoke but heard plenty of chat. Would use the hotel again though.

Room Tip: Ask for a rear courtyard room, I would not stay if given a room next to the road.

We (unfortunately) were attending a funeral locally and with members of the family coming from different parts of the country we wanted somewhere to meet up beforehand. A google search pointed us in the direction of The Saracen's Head Inn and the sat nav took us straight there. There were 10 of us in total and the Landlord was most welcoming. we all ordered lunch ranging from sandwiches to hot bagettes to starters and full meals. Unbelievably the meals all came out together and were delicious.
The Inn itself is pure olde world and genuinely so.
What a pity it is not local to us or we would certainly be regular customers!
Thank you Landlord. You, your staff, your premises and your food were spot on. CHEERS.

What a great place - searched the internet for somewhere within 30 minutes of where I was working, and found this. Wanted to stay at an inn rather than a hotel. SOOOO glad I did!
The landlord Kerry is very welcoming, the bar is really good with some top ales on. Food is very good indeed, generous portions with a high standard too. Prices were lower than elsewhere.

The room was good, great shower, parking on the road, once I had to park 5 minutes walk away, hardly a problem to be honest. I really liked it and would return without hesitation again.

I didn't have time to sit down for breakfast in the morning so I asked Kerry if I could take a bacon sandwich and he was happy to oblige, wrapping it up in foil for me take away, good man!

Booked on late rooms for a night away after a busy Christmas time and stayed early January. Yes there is difficulty parking but managed to park out on the road. A warm welcome on arrival and shown to our cosy and very adequate room overlooking the patio which was a little noisy as customers left and the pub closed but to be honest only for a brief amount of time. Enjoyed the real ale in the bar that evening but ate at the Indian restaurant just down the road which was good. Breakfast the next morning in the bar was really tasty and the customer service warm and friendly. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area as good value for money.

Stayed over the festive period which led to complications over the timings of breakfast. Staff made it all too apparent that we the client's were an inconvenience and totally lacked humour. The room was small but comfortable and met the basic requirements. The breakfast itself was plentiful but could only be described as adequate in terms of quality with no written menu and little apparent choice. It was served in the bar.
Parking is very difficult.
