“POOR SERVICE BLAND FOOD AT HARTE @MAGPIES COLESHILL”

Service poor seem to have a serve friends policy rather than who's next. Food bland burnt and altered without being told. Dog walking round whilst eating very disappionted

“Can take your dogs”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

It's great to be able to take your dog into the pub, particularly on those days when you have been out walking in the beautiful surrounding area. They serve a good range of ales and the food menu is also good. Popular with families in the good weather as there is a large outdoor area and playground for the children.

“Nice home-cooked food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

We stopped off here for lunch on our way to Amersham and really enjoyed it. My lasagne was home-cooked and tasty and came with a nice salad. My husband had egg, ham and chips, which he also enjoyed. The other food coming out also looked home-cooked. There is a lovely beer garden outside with lots of space for kids to run around and children's play area. Only downside was a bit of noise from the nearby road and a bit of a wait for food. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you're looking for simple, tasty home-cooked food.

Excellent selection of food and local beer on tap as well as choice of other real ale. Good place to stop on way home.

“Great pub food, go for Sunday lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

Love this dog-friendly pub near Amersham. Good pub fare, particularly fond of the veggie roast dinner - a full roast but without the meat. Always a warm welcome and good service.
