“Take the family”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

Great place to take all the family, of all ages and abilities, and dogs too. Good place to see lots and get plenty of exercise away from all roads. Cafe serves good food, but coffee etc is a bit pricey.

“Great for walking and cycling”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

Not a traditional forest by any means, as it has been created from a wasteland of disused brickworks quarries.

A great job has been done, and though the forest is still young it's beginning to develop its own character. Popular locally with walkers and cyclists, but not well-known outside the area.

Has a pleasant visitor centre with a good and friendly cafe restaurant.

“Nice Place to Walk the Dog Although Not Much Of A Forest”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Went here today with the dog (Buddy) and the children, nice open area although not much forest to walk through. Didn't rain although some areas were wet (kids loved jumping in the puddles)

Dog loved the walk and seems like a nice place to go for a bike ride

“Hardly a forest yet.”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

It has some nice wetlands (which I think you have to pay to visit, it is not clear). A nice restaurant/ coffee shop with lovely views and a very small (almost an apology for) visitor centre. Good cycle paths around the parklands.
