I had great expectations for the tree cathedral, but on arrival it was a little disappointing - just trees planted in the layout of a cathedral. Perhaps I just imagined too much.....

“Inspiring in theory”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

Make sure this is not the only visit on your agenda. Combine it with a trip to Dunstable Downs or Whipsnade. The concept is wonderful and very interesting, but when you are inside, it is little more than some living art. I get it, but it is simply trees. Good for 30-40 minutes of relaxation and contemplation.

“Worth a visit”

Interesting tree planting - read about its origins and layout before you go. Located close to Dunstable Downs and Whipsnade Zoo so worth a short visit if you are at either of these attractions.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

I love popping in here, it is lovely and peaceful, you should go in differing seasons though as it changes so much.

In spring the Easter Chapel is a carpet of daffodils, in Summer when all the leaves are out it is just breathtaking, in Autumn it is a riot of colour, the children love to go kicking the leaves. And not forgetting Winter with the Christmas chapel full of Christmas trees.

So quiet here a nice place for a stroll and a sit and contemplate.

“A very unusual day out”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

The tree cathedral is just that, an open air cathedral made of trees and bushes, with naves, cloisters et al.

A very interesting and beautiful place to visit which is still free.
