Which ever way you look at it it's a very long walk...... Hadn't expected such a hike but thoroughly enjoyed it all the same but the weather was glorious.
Sadly the warm weather meant that most of the animals had gone to ground or where hiding in the bushes but that's what you get with nearly ethical zoos.
I totally see why families would love this place. Very informative talks on many of the animals e.g sea lions, penguins, birds. Then there the play areas and train.
Downside the signage is just dreadful.... Best to just wander as the maps don't necessarily match the routes and think the kids must have been having fun on trick or treat with the signposts. Also the food on offer is pretty rubbish.. Bring your own... Great for a picnic on a sunny day.
Not a patch on the artis zoo in Amsterdam which bizarrely I scored lower maybe I need to reconsider.
If I lived locally would definitely keep coming back... But sadly wouldn't go out of my way to return
