“Sunday lunch”

Service was great at this restaurant, we were shown to a table and the waitress was very friendly. The restaurant wasn't very busy even though it was Sunday lunchtime. Ordered roasts which were okay, not great. It didn't look very appetising when it arrived but it was edible! Got ice cream sundaes for dessert which were delicious! Waitress was very efficient and didn't keep us waiting at all, made lots of small talk too. Decent enough experience.

Food and service was great. We shared a mixed starter platter which was huge.... not complaining though as we finished the lot!! The mushrooms were fab and would have happily munched through a plate of them alone!

The chicken curry was amazing!!!! Im always relucant to order curry from anywhere other than my fave llocal Indian restaurant but this was really really good! Would happily order that every time.

The wine was also very good with great choice.

Overall excellent service, food and value.

Reviewed August 9, 2012

mediocre food with unhelpful service. when we took an extra person along we asked if it was ok but we were told it maybe dificult to find an extra chair even though the place was nearly empty she walked off tsking and mumbling under her breath from then on we were treated to the slowest service in the restaurant
when I made a complaint to head office it was totally ignored

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times - is a little bit more than pub grub - with a few interesting dishes on the menu - Very busy at times, when they have deals on and staff are friendly. On one occasion we had walked an hour to it and when we got ther they had stopped serving food ok I suppose to have a policy but then they went and asked if the chef could rustle up something to which he said no - fair enough - but it put a dampner on it as even a sandwhich or a bowl of chips would have been nice and plenty of other places while not being able to offer you the main menu - will if you have missed the slot by 5 minutes normally offer something :(

“Table Table restaurant attached to Pub Horse & Jockey”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

Table Table visit 29/7/12 cooked breakfast cost £8.25

A Couples visit for breakfast. Three girls serving and seating. First asked if we had booked? Why – for breakfast? Shown to a table and shown the self service breakfast bar:
Coffee –run out
Weetabix – run out
Yoghurts – run out
Orange juice – run out
Brown bread – run out

When coffee was finally replenished it was minus the part that allows dispensing – another trip back to the kitchen!

Finally server arrives to take cooked breakfast order of mushrooms, omelette, beans, tomato – for two. Waited, waited, waited etc. You get the idea. 45 minutes later, server says the food is just being plated up. Other people also waiting around us – this is a contest of who gets their food first!

Another 10 minutes before food arrives. Omelettes like rubber and over cooked.

Very busy
Everyone arrived at once
When was cooked order actually taken as quicker if ordered first – like we know that!!

Length of visit one hour ten minutes – for a breakfast!
