Our party was made up of 3 generations of family members, all experienced "curry hunters" and we have been promising ourselves a visit to Zeera since last Autumn. We were made very welcome and given a choice of table. The decor is clean, bright with comfortable booths for parties up to six people, with plenty of space around them and most importantly, no lingering aromas from yesterdays food. An excellent menu with a good mixture of traditional dishes and a number of unusual fish and meat dishes. We were eating early (7pm) on a Saturday evening, arriving un-booked which didn't cause a problem, and by 7.45 all the tables were occupied. The noise levels may be a little high for some, but certainly not intrusive. As this was a first visit we decided between us to order a mixture of well tried, tested and enjoyed meals and a number of untried dishes so that we could measure it against a known bench mark, and on all counts, from the popadums and selections of dips ( the coconut and the chilli dips are amazingly flavourful) through the mains and deserts it ticked all the boxes.
This is not a Premier division Indian restaurant like Benares or an Ittihas or Lagan but it certainly sits towards the top of the 1st Division.
