The layout of the restaurant is ideal and even allowed for small closed-off spaces where diners could feel secluded. Chez Jerome sources as much local produce as possible and the freshness and quality of their ingredients is apparent in the taste. A lovely touch by Chez Jerome is opening earlier for you if you want to eat before going to the cinema or theatre. Not much more to say over my previous review on Chez Jerome ... I even had the fillet of beef again, medium rare, and it was just perfect. Must be the best fillet in Bedfordshire. Great veg too, potato rosti-like slice was superb. I was welcomed with 'a Ricard, Sir?' which exemplifies the personal service, the waiter had remembered from last time over 2 months ago! Highly recommended.

Friend recommended as a good place to eat before theatre. We decided on the 3 course £19.95 menu and was not disappointed. Friendly quick service and good quality food.

A great experience - Chez Jerome would give many London restaurants a run for their money. They do simple classics - salade nicoise (with seared, fresh tuna!), steak and creme brulée - perfectly. Interestingly, many fine dining establishments make a miserable attempt at the humble creme brulée - not a problem here, Chez Jerome's was flawless. Portions were large and staff friendly. We had the three course set dinner, a snip at £19.95 on weekdays (it rises to a still reasonable £24.95 on Friday and Saturday). Incredible value for food of this quality. I'll be back.

The interior of this restaurant is very nice, and the service was, at the start, very good. My sea bass fillets were cooked to perfection, as was my husbands cod. 2 others in our party had steak and one said hers was a little tough and the other said his medium-rare was slightly over-cooked. The starters were all highly rated. 2 nicoise salads, 1 x scallops and 1 x salmon. Our crepes dessert were also lovely. Slightly disappointing that when ordering desserts I asked if there was a dessert wine, the waitress said she didn't know and would check but never came back to us. I also asked for a top-up of water and this also didn't materialise. A shame as the rest of the evening had been so nice.
