“Luxury on Lake Huron”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2014

My boyfriend and I frequently stay at bed and breakfasts and this was one of the best. You cannot beat the location right on Lake Huron with a stretch of private beach as an amenity. The house is lovely and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming and work to make your stay special. The food was amazing (beautiful crepes for breakfast that looked like they should be on the cover of a food magazine) and a surprise treat of chocolate covered strawberries in the evening. The toy box room was whimsical and fun (especially the antique slot machines!). There is an alcove in the room with a comfy coach and large windows for viewing Lake Huron. The perfect place to relax and take in the scenery. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast and we will be back again for another stay.

I highly recommend Adventure Inn B&B for its peaceful ambiance, its lovely location right on Lake Huron, and the amazing breakfasts executed flawlessly by Sandy and Nicholas. This was my second stay in the Aft Cabin. Cozy, yet sumptuous.

My wife and I revisited the Adventure Inn in late June as part of a mini-vacation in Indiana and Michigan. We had stayed at the Inn in October 2012 and could not wait for our return visit. Once again, we had a wonderful time enjoying the hospitality of Sandy and Nicholas and the perfect location on the shores of Lake Huron (spectacular sunrises!). We stayed in the Toy Box room for the second time - must be seen to fully appreciate! The bed was very comfortable and the views of the lake, superb. Breakfasts, again, were an "event" not to be missed. Sandy's breakfasts were both "artistic" and delicious. (And Nicholas baked fabulous scones to finish off the meal!) This has become a favourite place for us to visit, and we will return again in the future!

Room Tip: We have not stayed in the Aft Cabin, but it looks very nice with it's own balcony from which you...

My husband and I have done many B&Bs and this was such a special experience. We stayed in the Aft Cabin for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed Sandy and Nicholas's hospitality: comfortable bed and bedding, immaculate house and rooms, lovely new bathroom, balcony with a great view of the lake, delicious breakfasts and treats, sweet doggie, great beach for relaxing, swimming, boating, rock collecting, walking (they even provide an assortment of water shoes from which you can borrow), and their recommendations for dinner places were spot on. Sandy and Nicholas's genuine warmth and generosity will be most memorable and we certainly plan on coming back to their wonderful home!

A beautiful B&B on the shores of Lake Huron! My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights in June in the Aft Cabin room. Gorgeous location, lovely views and attentive hospitality made our stay super comfortable. Some highlights: Luxurious bedding, fantastic shower (thank you Sandy for your decorating ideas and contacts), scrumptious breakfast and the peaceful sounds of the Lake lapping the shores coming through the open balcony doors. Well done Sandy and Nicholas! Thank you for allowing us a home away from home in Lakeport.

Firstly the Inn owners are wonderful. Sandy and Nicholas invite you to their home as if you are family. This Inn is the cleanest Inn ever. The View of Port Huron, breathtaking as you pull up to the Inn. We had the Toy Box. This room is very large and fun. The decor is really fun to look at. Games available, but who wants to stay in inside when you are right there a 2 minute walk to the private beach. Have a paddle boat available for guests. The weather was somewhat cool. But we got in enough and enjoyed the waves to have a fun time. Walking the beach, awesome. Only a short 15 minute drive and you see restaurants, a Mall , Walmart, all kind of stores and places to eat on a very long strip. Makes it is easy, 24th street. Breakfast, yummy, Nicholas is a fantastic cook and Sandy has some kind of yummy homemade treat in the evening for you. We did not want to leave, and so want to return. Check out there site they also have a private cottage for a full family, several couples etc. Three nights were not enough. See the Lighthouse if you can. Nice tour.

Room Tip: The two rooms in the house are both nice. Toy Box is somewhat bigger. Have great views in both rooms...

We stayed two nights and three days in the Toy Box Room. Abundant personal touches made our stay extraordinary. We loved the cozy feel of the Inn--having only two guest rooms made it peaceful. We enjoyed lake breezes gently blowing through our open windows. Remote controlled skylights allowed bright sunlight to fill the room. Soft and silky bed sheets upon perfect pillows and the Italian mattress were wonderful. Antique treasures, details of decor, and gourmet breakfasts served with loving care...I could go on. We forgot our responsibilities and felt like royalty for a little while. It was fabulous.

Room Tip: Both rooms have windows facing the water. The Toy Box room is spacious.
