“Not a long visit, but beautiful view”
Reviewed August 7, 2011

We had to go, so we went, we saw and we left. It was not really too long of a visit as you simply walk up a hill past several tourist styled stores to this open area where one looks at the Cliffs. They are very scenic and one could enjoy the view but it was quite hot when we went and the children seemed most interested in getting Ice Cream at the tourist shop rather than looking at the Cliffs.

“Great on a clear day.”
Reviewed August 4, 2011

Easily accessible by bus, takes a bout a hour from oak bluffs, maybe 40 minutes from Edgartown. Great view of the cliffs and the sea. A row of small stores that sell trinkets and seafood shack type food. The bus ride itself is pleasant and you get to pass through a lot of the island. But the cliffs and shops will not occupy more than a hour of your time, so only go if you are spending a few days in MV.

“BREATHTAKING!”
Reviewed July 18, 2011

I am unsure why this place is not number one on things to do in Martha's Vineyard. We arrived by ferry and were shocked though how far and how much a taxi was going to cost to get us to the cliffs. We spotted a jeep rental place called Sun and Fun on the main road and rented a jeep for the rest of the day. It was 149.00, not a bad price considering the taxi was going to cost us 110.00. We stopped at other towns and got to site see. The cliffs were the best part of our trip. Loved every minute of it. OH! at the far end of the island when you are on the beach it is clothing optional. This is where the cliffs are the steepest and its a must see.

“One of the most beautiful places I have been to.”
Reviewed February 5, 2011

We have been going out to the Vineyard for 3 years now, The cliffs at Aquinnah is always one of our favorite spots.Over the years I have pictures of how much the cliffs have changed. These winters seem to be taking their toll on the cliffs. In 2010, it was amazing how much the cliffs had changed in a year. It is still a breath-taking site. I enjoy walking the beaches, there are a variety of beaches, have been on one that is mostly rock and it is still amazing. There always seems to be so much to see in the little time that we have there. We have our favorite sites, the port we come into, we always go back and visit, loves the shops and houses there in Oak Bluffs, haven't seen much of Edgartown, streets are narrow and doesn't ever seem to be anywhere to park the car. We have also been hiking some of the trails. Chilmark Chocolate is small but they have a wide selection of chocolate and it is delicious.
I just love coming back each year, spring, fall, Can't wait to come back this coming year, just can't figure out when I want to be there. This year I would like to go and just relax on the beach and read. There have been deer at the front door early in the morning. If I could afford it, I would like to stay there year round.

“Pretty spot, especially as sun is setting”
Reviewed February 3, 2011

If you don't mind slugging up island, then this is a very beautiful spot. It is prettiest as the sun sets over the water, but this is also when the skunks tend to come out. When you see the little tourist shops on top of the cliffs, go to the 1st one on the left for the best fish tacos on the island.
