The knowledgable XTC boat captain (Moi, short for Moses) took us for a 5-hour trip that was fascinating. We first visited an inlet next to a cenote where manatees frequented thanks to the fresh water the cenote provided, then through canals dug by the Mayans, to two snorkeling areas with fantastic coral formations and lots of fish, to Bird Island, literally covered with nesting wood storks, and to an old steam engine on a small bit of land in the bay! XTC provided drinks and tasty sandwiches for lunch. No negatives to report!

We have been travelling across the Yucatan for the past 2 weeks and found ourselves at XTC Dive center. We booked one of the three rooms which were right on ther beach, palm trees, hammocks, and a dock with a few dive boats. They were remodeling the restaurant which had a great view of the water and dock. The room we booked was one of the nicest we had stayed in to date, which ran $45. u.s. it was very nice and clean , with wi-fi but no T.V. We didn't do any diving , but had a very nice stay there, the manager was very accomodating and spoke english which made things a lot easier.

We had a great visit - the refresher course was really important for us and Rodrigo and the rest of the staff was very patient going through all the important skills. The dives were wonderful and the dive masters were great - we felt safe and had a really fun trip. Highly recommend these guys!

My wife and I plus 4 others did three days diving. The team included Shark Bait, Sturgeon, Great White, Flounder, Limpet and Grouper.

We were newly qualified and the others we much more experienced. We had a great time. They managed our different skill levels and air consumption rates really well. We got to choose where we dived and saw a great range of coral and lots of cool fish including grouper, rays, barracuda plus some very friendly! Lion fish who followed us. Also did some cool swim throughs. Ben our dive master was excellent. Can't wait to go back.
