Casa Hamaca is situated in its own beautiful gardens in the neighbourhood of St Juan, a convenient 10 minute walk from the centre of Valladolid. Our room was large, cool and had the largest "king size" bed I ever seen. And everything was spotlessly clean.
However, what really made our stay at Casa Hamaca special was the host/owner, Denis. He was very friendly and keen to help us with any questions that we had. Most of all he was a mine of information about the city and the surrounding areas - much of which is not in the guide books. Finally, on Sunday morning he took all his guests to the local market for breakfast at one of the food stalls (all included in the room rate). This is something we would of not done by ourselves. But the food was delicious and the experience is already one of the highlights of our holiday in Mexico.
