We loved this place. Our room was extraordinary beautiful and quiet... A very good bathroom and perfect bed.
The breakfast in the garden was great: fruits, eggs and lots of local dishes.
And on top of this: very nice people. We felt like staying at friends.
And of course we liked the pretty city of Valladolid!
Thank you for 3 wonderfull days.

We stayed here in early March and couldn't have been happier with Casa Tia Micha. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the inn itself was beautiful. We were given a bottle of wine which we thoroughly enjoyed on in their garden courtyard at at night. The breakfast was wonderful (also in the courtyard). The location is perfect for exploring Valladolid which a fantastic colonial city with great restaurants and shopping. It's also a very short drive to Ek Balam...which is one of our favorite archaeological sites in the Yucatan. We hope we can get back to Casa Tia Micha soon!

The owner and employees are friendly, accommodating, sincere, and want you to love Valladolid. From our late arrival on our first day (someone had been waiting for us, and rushed over to open the gate to the parking area) to our early morning departure on our last day( 2 hours before breakfast normally starts, there was someone there to give us a couple of containers of yogurt and a few bananas for the road), and in between, we felt well taken care of.

Our room was huge (because nothing else was available, we had booked the "honeymoon suite"), the bed was very comfortable, and it was quiet at night even though we were only a block or so from the main square.

Loved, loved this small B&B. Rose was wonderful as was the staff and the food. The breakfast was fantastic. The rooms were large, modern with free water and a bottle of wine. Nice touch. Also a lovely sitting area upstairs outside the rooms as well as a lower courtyard.
Location couldn't be better. We were there for only 1 night but will definitely return to Valladolid as Rose helped us discover what a great city it is. A must see is Casa de los Venados. This is a private collection of Mexican folk art.

We booked to stay at Casa Tia Micha as a base to visit Chichen Itza. The guest house was really brilliant. The staff were super friendly, great at English and full of good advice on other things to do during our three night stay. the town is lovely too, with plenty of good things to do and some fantastic food. The breakfasts are delicious with lots of choice, and are both traditional and healthy. The room was massive with everything you need and more. We were given a bottle of local wine and were treated to aperatifs in the evening. What was supposed to be a base turned out to be a full holiday in itself.we can't recommend this place enough.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Tia Micha at the same time as reviewer Gourmet314 and his family. I'm in complete agreement: Rosanelly's former family home is indeed a jewel. I love courtyards, and this stunning colonial remodel surrounds a gorgeous one in which we enjoyed our fresh and abundant breakfast. The warmth of Tia Micha's gracious staff was matched by the weather, but we stayed cool in our beautifully appointed and spacious air-conditioned room.

The location couldn't have been better -- 1/2 block off the main plaza and three blocks from Casa de los Venados, one of the most enjoyable sites we art-lovers visited during our three weeks on the Yucatan Peninsula (immense thanks to Gourmet 314 and family for the tip!)

Now that I'm firmly back in real life, I plan to combat stress with the memory of rocking on Tia Micha's covered upstairs patio, Nook in hand, grateful for the evening breeze created by the ceiling fan and the chattering of nest-bound birds.

Sra. My wife, daughter and I stayed at Casa Tia Micha for 3 nights. This place is a jewel. The staff, including the owner Rosanelly, were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Rosanelly speaks excellent English, the rest of the staff adequate (or none), but we speak enough Spanish to get by.

The room was large, comfortable, and the bathroom modern with plenty of towels, soaps, shampoo, and a hair dryer. All the current rooms are upstairs so be sure you are able to manage stairs. Our room was very quiet at night as it was located towards the center of the property. Free WIFI is included: there is one upstairs and one downstairs.

Breakfast was served in the courtyard, and on one slightly rainy morning, upstairs on the covered terrace. The breakfast selection was large, included local foods and the food was excellent (we were asked if we had any particular preferences). Fresh juice, fresh fruit, and delicious coffee were also served.

The convenient location is just 1/2 block off the main town square. This is a B&B on a one a one way street so you have to know where to look for it. Have a map of the town handy as there are lots of one way streets and look at the photos online so you know what the hotel entrance looks like. We downloaded a map from Galileo. There were orange traffic cones in front of the hotel so we pulled over when we arrived and I stayed in the car while my wife went in to check on parking. A staff member is always right in the entrance and she directed us to the off-street parking located directly before the hotel. Once we knew where it was, we had no problems getting in and out or directing taxi drivers to the location (taxis around town cost 15 - 20 MX pesos).

This was a convenient location for visiting Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, and the town of Valladalid itself (don't miss the Casa de Venados, a private home packed with Mexican folk art).
