Description: CocoCorona Beach Club is a casual beach front restaurant and bar located directly on the Malecon (beach front Promenade / boardwalk) in downtown Mahahual, Mexico. We serve FRESH Mexican Caribbean Cuisine at reasonable prices. The area is known as the Costa Maya and offers peace and tranquility from the over developed Riviera Maya up north. We have outdoor seating, free usage of lounge chairs, Umbrellas and Palapas for shade. Our beach is full of tall coconut palms and our ocean is calm, blue and majestic. ALWAYS fresh local food, QUALITY drinks, ICE COLD BEER and all of the regional favorites such as Lobster Tacos, fish Ceviche, Shrimp Quesadillas and Steak Fajitas. A Variety of Veggie dishes available as well. ALL WATER IS PURIFIED. Come enjoy the day in our slice of Paradise...... you may not leave.....CocoCorona Staff

The amount of time we spent at CocoCorona was worth it. The staff was friendly, engaging and fun while the food was good and reasonable. We were constantly checked on and asked for anything else which was wonderful.
Minus the one or two times we had to wait a little longer for drinks than we wanted to,we had a wonderful experience. Definitely a spot I would go to have a good time, relax, and be around great people.

This is our 2nd visit to Coco Corona, this time with a large family group of 35 people.
We contacted Sergio ahead of time he reserved a large swatch of beach front for our group.
CocoCorona is a $2/10 minute bus ride from the cruise terminal.
The restaurant has ice cold buckets of beer and very good Mexican food at reasonable prices.
Kayaks are available free of charge for guests.
We rented wave runners form Jason. The prices were reasonable. Unlike other beaches the wave runners are not allowed to zip past in the swimming area, so they are a lot less dangerous and annoying.
The waiters (ask for Jose or Isidro – in that order) for courteous and attentive service.

Cons: It is not the best beach in the world – note CocoCorona did not make the beach. The water is clear and shallow and safe for kids. For snorkeling your will have to take a boat out to the reef.

It is a very relaxing beach day.

We wanted to skip the expensive cruise excursions so we followed advice from someone on Tripadvisor and took a "cab" (which turned out to be a bus) to Majahual. It wasn't quite what I expected at first, nor was it clear where to go when we got out of the cab. Then we saw Jorge's smiling face. He led us to a nice spot on the beach, set us up with tables and chairs, and let us know he'd get us anything we wanted. We asked for some time to get settled and he graciously gave us our space. He was right there when we did decide it was time for drinks, and again later when we ordered food. We had an amazing, relaxing day, and never had to leave our perfect spot on the beach. The drinks were cheap, the food was reasonably priced, and the guacamole was especially delicious. Jorge was always cheerfully there when we needed him, but he wasn't pushy. He made it easy and relaxing. Thanks, Jorge!

We came by way of Carnival Dream, Antonio was waiting by the bus and when we got off, not pushy, just ask what we wanted to do, and we said just enjoy the beach, maybe snorkel and get a massage. He said no problem, took us to a table with lounge chairs and regular chairs and said all was no charge, we could even use the kayaks for free. He didn't even push us to get drinks, just ask and came around from time to time to see if we needed anything! Did I mention he was great. At some point during our visit (3- 4 hrs) I told him my wife and I wanted to snorkel and did he think our stuff would be alright and he said it would and he would watch it. Everything was there, nothing missing when we got back, we had beers for $2, bottled water $2. And Antonio was super and the massage was also excellent, not just the price but also the massage itself!

We just got back from our cruise trip to the Riviera Maya. The ship last stop was at Mahahual, Mexico. Beautiful beach, delicious food, and shopping. Our waiter, Fernando Briceno was GREAT! We had a wonderful time at the Cococorona. Thanks Fernando for your wonderful service.
