We just got back off our fantastic holiday and can really recommend this resort! The whole resort is immaculate, the staff are constantly cleaning, also the staff are so friendly and welcoming, especially waitress ( elvina ) and also the entertainments team archy & chocolate were amazing people too. The only bad points that we can put out is the smoking in the pool bar, this ain't good, and having to pay for wifi.....
But all in all enjoy.

We arrived on the 9th September for two weeks after an excellent flight on the new Dreamliner (Highly Recommended) Transfer time was about an hour and half and was followed by a quick check in. Your suitcases are delivered to your room which were about 15 mins after we arrived and we were in room 2417 on the beach side.5 mins to the Beach one way 5 mins to the dinning areas the other way. The room was very spacious and clean but could see a problem with privacy if you have a child with you as there was no dividing wall between the bathroom/toilet and bedroom, as their was only my wife and I this did not affect us. The room was cleaned and towels changed on a daily basis but the rooms could do with a makeover to achieve a 5 star status. the restaurants were large with an excellent choice for both breakfast and dinner, but the desserts in the evening were very repetitive and the fact that the desserts on display at breakfast were far better than those served with the evening meal. We tried the steak house restaurant witch I would say was pretty average in that the only difference between the that and the main restaurant was the meat, all side dishes were the same as you could get at the buffet dinner. We also tried the Brazilian which was probably the worst meal we had during our stay, you get a tiny morsel of various meats which took 15 minutes between each serving and it was the only time we encountered rude waiter (Maybe he was just having one of those days I don't know) as all the other staff on the complex went out of there way to be helpful and courteous always with a smile on there faces. If you like shows(my wife and I don't) they put a different one on each night, other than that there's not much going on, with two huge lobby bars they had the same singer on for about half an hour who thought she was some sort of Whitney Huston but was so bad we had a laugh about her every night, and I feel this is were the hotel really lets it self down, to amuse ourselves we decided to go through the cocktail list(33 different cocktails) everyone which was very good and the bar staff were also friendly and engaging. The resort has a lovely beach but is a bit rocky when going into the sea and an excellent Beach bar. the coffee shop is also highly recommended, along with the ice cream parlour. plenty of room round the pools which were also kept to a high standard a long with the lazy river. trips I would recommend are Coco Bongos (VIP) and the dolphin swim (my wife loved it). WARNINGS very slippery floors throughout the resort due to the rain there a couple of people who broke legs and one with a damaged vertebrae so take some shoes with a decent grip. and make sure you have something on your feet when using the loo during the night as we had a scorpion in our bathroom on the last night. Would I recommend this hotel? YES would I return? NO

We loved the Grand Sirenis! We just returned from two weeks holiday. The first week was rainy, so we won`t book holiday in the rainy season again, but the hotel was beautiful, our holiday was perfect. The hotel is huge, nice, very clean, lovely people, excellent food, beautiful beach!!Our room was the 2704 (Llek) big and clean, close to everything! We recommend the italian restaurant and a SPA! MANY THANKS for Maricarmen, our beautiful concierge, she is very nice and very helpfull (She helped a lot to my partner making a beautiful birthday surprise for me), many thanks for Magaly, the best waitress ever on the beach and many many thanks Salomon, our housekeeper (we have never seen this beautiful flowers, swans etc from towels!) So... thank you very much!

The staff, restaurants and facilities are wonderful on a nice beach and rainforest.Lots of animals on site. When it rains the marble floor is dangerous and lots of people fall and injure themselves. Be careful and make sure that you have full insurance coverage as the hotel will not accept any responsibility. They should put non-slip runners down or coat the floors with something to prevent this.
Also make sure you use the in room safe as money went missing from the room that was inside 3 bags and was only away from the room for about an hour. So
someone with a key card had access and was watching. A hard leason learned by my friend, who is out of pocket over cad$126.00.
The concierge, bellman, security, restaurant & most general staff are very
helpful and will go out of their way to assist you, but if you are dealing with some of the supervisors and management for a problem, they say that they will help, then give you the run around and end up wasting your entire day and not helping you at all. The most helpful staff were as follows: bellman was Rosalio, concierge Alan, Fernando & Diego, Bayou restaurant Benito, cashier/exchange Sol, Reception Ivan.
Without their kind and friendly assistance during our stay, we would not have enjoyed our stay very much.
I spent my last day at the hospital getting x-rays due to my fall on the slippery floor at the Spa. If you do have an accident on site make sure that they report and document it and make sure you get a copy of the report. This is my second time to this resort and would come back again if the management improves their attitude and follow up with serious complaints. It is a beautiful property and good value for the all inclusive package price paid.
The strong points: The general staff were wonderful, friendly and attentive. The a la carte restaurants Japanese, Brazilian, Steak House, Italian & Cajun were great. Nice walking through the beach and rainforest to see the animals. The facilities are good overall.
The weak points: The dangerous slippery marble floors throughout the resort including the Spa. The hotel & management should be more concerned for guest safety than the esthetics of the property. New check in staff need better customer service training. Need better room security.

Just returned from two weeks stay. The weather very poor but not the the fault of the hotel!

Complained about the smell of the pillows which were replaced within the hour by our concierge Maricarmen who was helpful and courteous throughout our stay.

The staff in general were all very helpfull and pleasant. The food in the general buffet restaurants was good but the Mexican a la carte was very average. Best by far was the steak,Japanese and Brazilian.

The local drinks were pretty poor although the burbon was OK. Luis in the lobby bar where branded drinks are available gave us excelent service.

What spoilt it for us was the some of the fellow Brits (mostly 20-30 age) who behaved very poorly in the bars and coming back to thier rooms late in the morning were noisy.

The hotel it self is in need of some up dating and please beware of the large tiled floor areas which a like ice when wet. We have the bruises to prove it.

Room Tip: Away from the main pool.

My partner and I have just returned from a a 10 night holiday here with two of our friends. Weather not so good but that didn't effect our holiday at all really (just recommend not going in wet season if you are planning on going to mexico). Food was lovely and the a la carte restaurants, in particular the japanese tepan yaki restaurant was amazing! I think it is more of a 4* holiday, but still recommended. I mainly want to comment on the brilliant staff who are all so friendly, with a smile and cannot do enough for you. Cleanliness everywhere is immaculate. The bar staff and entertainment staff were awesome and we had some ace times with Gerardo (the machine), Imanol, Franklin and Salvador! They all deserve a pay rise!! Something for everyone of all ages.
