Lots of long reviews on this hotel so I'll make it short and sweet. This hotel is fantastic, from the tentative staff to the excellent amenities, ignore all negative comments and book and go, you will have a wonderful time.

Room Tip: We stayed in the kantenah end and it was great.

We have been going to this resort for the last 8 years. From the minute you step off of the plane, the stress leaves your body and mind. For a week every year, we are in paradise. The resort is about an hour from the Cancun airport, but the ride is not too bad. They have built up the highway so you don't sit in traffic anymore. Once you arrive at the resort, the staff are so attentive to you. You are greeted with a fruity drink, Check in takes about 10 minutes. With any luck your room will be ready. If not that is ok, you can start enjoying the many amenities right away. The staff will get your luggage to your room for you. We always stay in a Mayan Suite, the room is wonderful. There are 8 rooms in each bungalow. The rooms all have a stocked mini fridge (beer, pop and water). The Mayan suites are very large and comfortable with a huge patio with a hammock strung up. The best part of the room is the outdoor shower, It is very large if you are on the second floor. The property itself is so pretty and very well maintained. Staff are constantly cleaning and grooming the grounds. The pools are HUGE! The beach is HUGE and the beach bar "Punta Emilia" has the best bartenders (Freddie). The bartenders and servers go out of their way to make sure your drinks and food are served quickly. The drinks are always flowing (shots too!) Freddie the bartender is hilarious and will make concoctions for you to try. The restaurants are good, but the wait can be quite long. The buffets are packed with any type of food you can imagine. If you leave this resort hungry, bored or thirsty it is your own fault. All in all I have always had a great trip to this piece of paradise.

Room Tip: We like the Mayan Suites in the Colonial part of the resort,. It is the closest to the beach, resta...

Well i must start this review on a positive and say that this hotel is brilliant! No doubt about it we had a fantastic time staying at this resort, i was a returning guest after first visiting this resort 3 years ago. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed and made to feel very comfortable, i was recognised as a returning guest and allocated a free upgrade which was very kind. The hotel throughout is extremely clean and well kept, the only down side i could say if i HAD to choose one is that the main pool in the colonial/kantenah needs a bit of attention (tile grout redone and around repainted) but that would be if i was being extremely picky, and to be honest after a very busy season this is to be expected. All of the food and drink was of very high quality and more choice than i have ever seen in an all inclusive. The night time shows seemed better in the white sands side than the colonial but all were of a very good standard.
The hotel shop was fair priced and didnt seem to want to rip you off. There was a problem with a bulb in our room that once reported was fixed within a couple of hours. All of the staff were very friendly and unlike some other resorts did not make you feel under pressure to tip them.
The only tip id have for anyone thinking about this hotel is explore!!! Use the spa as its amazing and you do not have to pay for treatments to use the hot tubs, steam rooms, pool etc.
I think thats all of the hotel covered as briefly as possible, now for our only down side to the holiday.. The reps poor information...
The day after we arrived at the resort we visited the welcome meeting, this meeting was fairly informative and led by the mexican thomson rep (there was one english and one mexican), we asked for the information regarding the coco bongos trip and were told it would be only beneficial to do the gold vip package where a bus takes you with a guide and give you a lot longer in the club, so we were told it would cost around £82 english pounds each this was including an extra $20 for going on a saturday. So we agree'd do book and said we would call back to the reps desk later that afternoon with the money. Later we did call back down and were advised very abruptly that the Mexican rep had told us the wrong price and would in fact be more than this, no apology was made for his incompetence or any effort to explain was made, despite this we booked as it was something we really wanted to do, trip time came and we were picked up from our hotel by the bus and rep from coco bongos, we were advised that we must be back on the bus by 3.30am and no notice was to be given to the clocks going back 1 hour(even though the mexican thomson rep had advised us we would infact get an extra hour in the club as we should chang eoour watches at 12) otherwise it would leave and we would have to get a taxi, 3.30am came and we were all on the coach.. All bar one person.. The rep! The bus driver made every attempt to contact her with no success! 4.10am came and still no rep. The whole bus basically begged the driver to leave without her and this is what he had to do! I did not report this to the thomson rep as to be honest i found them very much useless the whole experience. This obviously was no fault of the hotel.

May i add that one credit to thomson does go to their outbound flight crew to mexico there was only 20 people on our flight and the 2 staff(trudy & shaun) in the premium cabin were an absolute credit to the company. They promised a very special treatment as there was only 4 of us in the premium cabin and thats what they delivered. They made sure they catered to our every need and really did go the extra mile. Money well spent just for their professional high standard service.

Just returned from a wonderful holiday, first visit to Mexico but will not be the last. Two Adults 3 kids ( 9, 14, 15 )
This hotel was everything we had imagined and more,
Rooms were always clean, grounds constantly cleaned upgraded and manicured, food of a very good standard, all staff were friendly and helpful, what more could you want.
Pool area was lively, music choice could have got on some peoples nerves I do imagine but I think they try to keep the young and upbeat feel, beach was stunning and so family friendly in every way.
The animal life in and around the hotel is just an added bonus, the coates, racoons, lizards, birds were a constant source of enjoyment.
Would suggest this hotel to anyone I know as a great option for their Mexican holiday.
Would like to end this review by saying a big thank you to all the team at the Palladium hotel for their hard work in making this such a great experience for me and my family, all of us have to agree this was our most enjoyable family holiday so far!
A massive thank you to the "Animacion" team for their nightly shows, they may not all be professional performers but what they lack in slickness is more than made up by there sheer hard work.
To all the guys & gals around the pool, thanks for making our 3 lads feel like one of the gang!
Also a big thank you to Miguel from "First Choice", after having a small problem with room numbers on the first night, this was quickly dealt with and Miguel organised a free upgrade to a junior suite, just another added bonus to an already great holiday.

Room Tip: Kantenah side of hotel is quieter and all rooms have been upgraded, junior suites are the best optio...

This was our first time in mexico, we was recommended it by our friends who was on their 3rd time there. Well I can truly say we was not disappointed. After a long tiring flight, our 1st impressions was amazing. We was greeted by our friends with a riviera cocktail mmm , Check in was really quick,we was taken to our room by a very friendly man and our suitcases arrived in minutes. The complex was so big, not a problem as a train takes you to all lobby's and the golf buggys take you right to your door. The staff worked so hard and always had a smile and said hola everytime you passed them, The pools : we only went to 4 and was really impressed, the quiet pools and the 2 main pools with activity always on. I swam with dolphins ,snorkeled with turtles and zip wired through the jungle :) what more can I want. Coco bongo was a fab night and the coco bongo rep was brill, getting us into the mood before we arrived. The wildlife was amazing, we loved the raccoons and iguanas and even seen a baby raccoon that had just been born. We was celebrating our 25 th anniversary and had champagne in our room and also on the boat trip round the complex. Our room was lovely and the bed really comfortable, only downside we had no towel art :( but that is a miner complaint. All in all 1 of my favorite holidays brilliant place, fantastic company, can't wait to return next year . Overall I would rate the holiday 10 out of 10 . Thank you to our 4 friends for making this holiday extra special , be back next year .

17 family and friends spent 8 days and 7 nights at this wonderful location (Colonial). The atmosphere was one of relaxation and big fun. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The beech was wonderful, blue water everywhere. Pick a food selection, any selection and there it was on site. White night was fun with folks trying all sorts of activities. One great plus for me and many of the family was the entertainment. For 3 different nights we heard the sounds of GOLDEN SOUND BAND. A big shout out to them and their lead singer - Patty. Our last evening there was the best. We all danced the night away with selections from Goldon Sound Band. Thank you very much, I (we) needed the break.
