Pete Dye out did himself with this jungle, quarry, water jewel. 7200 yards from the tips full of Kodak moments and magnificent golf holes. The course is very tight and demanding from tee to green, and not for the casual hacker. Bug spray is mandatory!!!
What's the downside? The fairways were cut very tight, almost tighter than the greens. The speed and cut of the greens was inconsistent and failed to honor the course and the design. We spoke to a member who nailed the course condition and remedial actions necessary perfectly. Longer cut in the fairways, tighter greens with sharper blades, and a head greens keeper who plays the game. If this course was in top condition, it could be a top 100 course.
The price/value is right with soft drinks and snacks included. I would definitely play this course again!
