“A park to remember”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

There are many things to do at Aktun Chen that's worth more than one visit. Zip lines, caverns, animals, but my favorite was the underground cavern snorkeling. The tours were short and sweet and is for all ages. Alexandro our snorkeling guide was fantastic. When someone dropped their camera under water, he dived down several feet and received it back for you. The cavern tour was very educational but isn't for people with bad backs because a quarter of the tour was spent crouching down making sure you
don't hit your head on the stalactites.(I'll let them explain to you what they are). Aktun Chen is definitely an experience to

“Fantastic day trip!”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

This tour was very well organized allowing for a lot of save fun! The guides were well educated and funny and made the day a lot of fun. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour including playing with the monkeys and the included lunch. The zip lining was really fun and the cave diving was beautiful!

“Fun activity”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

My husband and I have done ziplines before and really enjoyed them so we decided to visit Aktun Chen.
After the zip lines in Punta Cana these were not as fast or as long but still enjoyable. They let you go upside down and together and are just more carefree then the ones in Punta Cana. If this is your first zipline experience you will love it, if you have done longer lines this will just be an ok time.

Cave walking tour, this was also a fun activity to check out the cave but again if you have been into larger stalactite caves before this will be very unimpressive.

Cave swim, this was a new one for me and very enjoyable. The cave is pretty small but very cool to get to look around and explore. The water is a little chilly but not bad so it was a fun activity.ziplines
I would recommend this to others but keep in mind its not as exciting as other larger caves or but this is an all in one activity

Ziplining: we did 10 lines. They were great. You could hang upside down or go with no hands! Staff was awesome. Very safe and professional. My fiancé and I were able to go down one together which was pretty cool! They took some great pics of you too that you can buy...
Cenote: my fav!!! Sooo beautiful! The water was cool but not freezing. You got a tour for about 15 mins then you could swim and snorkel on your own for another 20 Mins or so! There was fish you could swim with too. Truly awesome!
Cavern: what a great tour! The tour guide was really knowledgeable and informative! The caves were just amazing! Can't really explains their beauty!
Restaurant: it was good. I had chicken fajitas and they gave us nachos. It was all really yummy!

They had a few monkeys that were unfortunately tied up but still adorable. We saw some white tailed deer and some parrots. We drove past some pigs... That was about it for wild life!
The thing we liked about this excursion was that the place was super quiet, barely any ppl there! Which was awesome cause you never felt rushed! The staff were all awesome and we had a blast on this trip! It's about 45 mins from playa del Carmen! Go check it out!

We took the guided tour walking through the underground cavern. It was amazing. The guide explained the history and geology surrounding the cave. It was a wonderful experience. I would high recommend taking the tour.
