I love the attention given by the personnel...you need something and just by raising your head you have people helping you...very good food (at the snack bar) and delicious drinks

Clean beach, we laid under the palm trees, while the kids swam in the water. Water is warm and clear...

We hopped a collectivo from our resort (Palladium) down to Akumal for the day. We rented chairs at Lol-ha and did some snorkelling. There are alot of people who try to get you to buy a guided tour for snorkelling. We already had fins, masks and snorkels, all we did was rent lifejackets from the kiosk on the beach (make sure you have ID such as a driver's license for them to keep as collateral). I swam out about 75 yards and came upon some turtles eating grass off the bottom. I would rather come back here again than spend another $200 to go to Xel-ha again. Much cheaper, and less busy.

Such a great time swimming in the beautiful ocean with so many turtles. Snorkeling was fun with reefs surrounded by colorful fish. Water was very calm. Perfect for kids. Would definitely go back.

We paid $20 for rental of life jacket and flippers and a locker. Pure white sand great restaurant on sea front good prices. over 10 wild turtles of all sizes, along with a meter long barracuda. the beach was quite no sun beds so take a towel.
