Casa De La Pas
Michelle was so helpful before we arrived with information of the area, our home in Mexico had everything you needed, very cheerful colors, very clean and tidy and Ormar our contact in the community was always there to help with any questions we had, he arranged a massage for us at our home which was a real treat and reasonable. The beach was beautiful and very few people, boogie boarding and snorkeling. Chemuyil is a lovely little Mexician village with everything you need and Leo's Pizza ( they have a great selection from Pizza, to Seafood and everything inbetween) was delightful. The community of homes is very friendly with a mix of Canadians, US and Mexician citzens and VERY safe. Would not hesitate to go back and recommend this area to my friends

We have just returned from our holiday in Chemuyil, we had wonderful time there, we enjoyed very nice accomodation, beautiful sea, no people at the beach, juicy fruit, nice local people.... I want to thanks for the fantastic stay in the romantic casa which is one of the most beautiful ones in Chemuyil at all! I admired the pure mexican style of the house, colouring, modest fitting, cleanness, quitness...
Is not that casa for sale, by chance?? I have a big interest:-) At least, if we go there another time, we will choose Casa de la Paz again.

This is the second Christmas we have spent in Chan Cheymuyil to escape the stress of the season. The Casa de la Paz was lovely in its simplicity and of backdrop of color. The house was clean and well equipped with linens, kitchen items, beach chairs and even a cooler. We liked the extra touches like gourmet coffee and a collection of DVDs. The walled area behind the casita backed up to the jungle and was a nice secluded spot with a hammock and buganvilla—very pleasant!

We had a great stay at Ak Kun in Chan Chemuyil. We traveled with 2 young kids and it was so easy and economical. We loved being close to 3 great beaches but off the beaten path. The house was perfect size and had all the amenities (loved the hammocks) plus great extras for the beach - boogie boards, towels, umbrella, chairs, cooler, snorkel equip. The community regulars were very friendly and helpful with local information. We also loved being near the pueblo of Chemuyil which is nice because it is real Mexico and not touristy at all. We rented a car which was great to have. Thanks Jen for being so incredibly helpful and easy to access!!

My first visit to Yucatan was in 1988. I went down to Cancun & Coz so many times in the '90s I lost track. Last year Bahamas, 4 yrs prior jumping on diveboat liveaboards off Baja. Spending the week in Chan Chemuyil was like coming home after a long absence. Just loved it. Definitely will be back as soon & often as possible. Casa Maare is an adorable home conveniently located minutes from the beach, ruins, local attractions and restaurants. It has comfortable beds, new appliances, the quintessential coffeemaker and plenty of bottled water. The neighbors are friendly in this vibrant community. This is a great place to live while experiencing the unique culture of the Yucatan. Here you are a traveler rather than a tourist. Come stay at Casa Maare; Heather will make you feel right at home.

Casa Maare is a darling casita -- comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, and with all you need for an a-la-carte trip to the Mayan Riviera. One of the world's finest beaches is just across the road, there is a cenote at the end of the block, and a typical village within walking distance. $20 US gets you a cab ride to Tulum; it's about $35 to Playa del Carmen. Friendly people abound to make your trip a pleasant one and tip you off on great places to bike, dive, swim, eat, and relax.

The Mayan Riviera is paradise, the people are kind, generous and warm. And Chan Chemuyil is the ideal place to stay while there!! Jennifer is awesome, quick to answer emails and full of fabulous suggestions for any aspect of your stay. Renee and Joe are on site and always helpful.

A beautiful little casa, fully equipped with everything a person or family could need. Wonderful, warm people in the community, helpful and kind in every situation. Beautiful scenery, lovely little cenote, gorgeous jungle flowers and plants. I did not use the cleaning service so cannot comment on that, it was no trouble at all to keep tidy.

Akumal Beach is a must for snorkelling, guaranteed to see many giant sea turtles. Eat at La Cueva del Pescador, across the parking lot from the dive shop, the food is delicious - try the lime soup, or the pasta with shrimp... yummmmmm!!!

Xcacel Beach is an absolute gem, don't delay visiting there. There is very little shade tho, so go in the afternoon or bring umbrellas. Delicious tacos in Akumal, wonderful little shops and restaurants in Tulum, amazing ruins in Coba.

A truly marvelous experience, I would highly recommend this community as a home base for your Mayan Riviera visit.
