“Yummy Lives Here!”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

We had lunch and/or dinner several times at Turtle Bay Bakery while in Akumal. We enjoyed consuming their many entrees I.e. fish tacos, chicken curry sandwich and the snapper. Their pina coladas we're just as delicious. You should also order their desserts! The key lime pie and banana white chocolate pie were sooo good! Their service is awesome and friendly.

“What happened to Lucy?”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Yes we are reviewing the Turtle Bay Bakery & Cafe. After a morning of playing in the water and on the beach we always go to Lucy's for fish tacos, in fact we were just eating their last July and did a review in tripadvisor.
With our friends in tow we wandered over to Lucy's to find her restaurant closed and from what we read on the door of her restaurant we would need to go to the Turtle Bay Bakery & Cafe to have Lucy's fish tacos. No problem we thought.
Upon arriving there, we sat ourselves down and waited for service. Our young waiter didn't seemed too enthusiastic having to take care of a table of six, even though we were only one of about three tables filled. We order beers and asked for Lucy's fish taco's, and our waiter obliged. When our fish taco's arrived, my wife and I were very let down. In the past, Lucy supplied a sauce which gave the taco's that extra zing which set them apart from all the other restaurants. Then the bill arrived, wow, we payed more for fish taco's and beer than we did for our evening meal with margaritas at La Cueva del Pescador next door. Certainly a let down for us. Lucy, please come back......... The Turtle Bay is not doing you justice!

“Tasty and Convenient”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

Had lunch and breakfast here and enjoyed the service as well as the food. They split portions for you if you share a meal, which was fantastic since Lucy's Kitchen is right there and you can have the best ice cream too. Great strong coffee here, and espresso. Right by Akumal bay, so walk over, it's worth it!

“Great food”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Had a great meal last night. Ended the the night with a zingy-piggy. Desert to die for. A large brownie, three scoops of ice cream, bananna, whip cream, waffel cone. It was the first one them they made.

“Our Favorite in Akumal”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at Turtle Bay, we returned for an equally tasty dinner. The staff are well-trained and all seem to enjoy working there. The portions were tasty, innovative, and ample. Leave room for the "small batch" helados. We thought both the salted caramel and chocolate habanero were outstanding.
