“Nice view, bad drinks, ok food”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Went for part of happy hour for dinner and drinks. The cocktails were awful. Everyone switched to beers. Prices were good for happy hour though. Maybe the drinks would be better full price... Food was ok. Nothing special or amazing but edible. Service was spotty. Took a long time for anyone to come over and we went to the bar to order drinks. Tips can't be added to a credit card bill which we were not expecting and we only had some pesos and US coins with us. Waiter was pissed and wouldn't take the quarters. He hardly was around for the meal but when it was tip time he was hovering like a mosquito. The restaurant was right on the water so the view was the best part of the dinner. Since restaurant choices are somewhat limited in Akumal you're kind of stuck if you want to bike or walk somewhere. I probably wouldn't go back.

“Unique and quaint”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

This is a magical place with lots going on! Have some great food, listen to music, have a swim in the pool or chair, lay in a hammock or head into the ocean! The atmosphere is bar none! Great ambiance and just an all around fun place with very friendly staff! We will definitely frequent this little gem!

“Great food and atmosphere!”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

We came here at the end of an excursion and had a plate that included a quesadilla, fajitas, guac, rice, and beans. Everything was delicious! Very surprised by how delicious everything was. The drinks were cheap too, it cost about $3 for a beer, which compared to prices back home, seemed great! The atmosphere here is lovely, right on the beach with plenty of natural shade. LOVED it.

Love this place, would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

“Excellent Restaurant with a Beautiful view!!”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

I have been to this restaurant every time I have been to Mexico, this year being the 7th time.

Always have had good food and drinks at good prices and the view is amazing while relaxing on the waters edge.

Staff can be a bit slow, but you are in Mexico....everything is slow except for the drivers on the highway lol

I would recommend anyone to visit this restaurant if you are in the area, and make sure to take the time to climb up to the treehouse for the spectacular view of the bay!

“Beautiful view, unique, fun”
Reviewed May 18, 2014 via mobile

I love this place just for the atmosphere alone. I visit every time I'm in Mexico.
Beautiful ocean view - check
Swing seats at bar - check
Beer buckets - check
Palm Tree hut you can sit in with table and chairs & dumb waiter corona bucket if you're brave enough or sober enough to climb up it - check

This is just a great place to sit and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. We always order the botanero dish which is an appetizer that comes with beef, chicken, queso, guacamole, peppers & onions as well as tortilla shells. Enough for a meal for two. My husband eats the meat and I eat the veg. They also have a large drink & food menu. They are known to have full moon parties though I've never been.

It's further down the road in Akumal just keep going after the arch, you won't miss it. There is a small parking lot across the street and a few shops. It's definitely worth checking out. Everyone we've brought here loves it too.
