Food was ok, not great, but we opted to get the tacos, and no papas. Things to note, it is in a builiding, off of the beach with bars around for enclosures, it is a little scketchy. The kids quesidillas are super small, so make sure to order enough. Out of all the great pkaces to eat on the beach, and sinve I was only in mexico for 7 nights, I woukd not go here agsin. I want my feet in the sand and to see the ocean, not a building on my vacation.

Delicious tacos y papas. The loaded potatoes were amazing with fresh grilled vegetables, excellent quality meat, and gooey cheese! The homemade flan was amazing. The tacos were the best we had in the neighborhood; hands down.

Am stunned that there are no reviews for this place! It's not on the main strip of restaurants and shops along the El Anclote beach/marina area, but it was practically the only restaurant still open late (after 9pm) when we finally dragged ourselves out of the pool and went in search of dinner. A guy at the surf shop recommended it and it did not disappoint.

We thoroughly enjoyed their street-style tacos, which were loaded with tons of very good, freshly cooked meat (carne asada, grilled chicken, etc). But the unexpected star of the meal were their tostaditas loaded with delicious grilled veggies. They also offer baked potatoes loaded with meat and toppings, which we did not try, but they sounded great as well.

We came with two squirmy toddlers and they were totally accommodating--had a high chair, handed the kids some small toys, and brought them some fresh corn tortillas to nibble.

Despite the name, this is not a street stand. It's a comfortable (but casual) sit-down cafe with fast and friendly service. Everything was super clean and super fresh, and we placed two additional orders throughout the meal because everything was so good and we wanted more! It's also pretty cheap, with the tacos being less than $2 (American dollars) each.

On another night, we did also enjoy some actual street-tacos in the nearby town, where residents were cooking tacos in front of their houses. Those were awesome and even cheaper at around $1 each, but Tacos Y Papas balanced the $2 price tag with a nicer experience and more generous portions. Highly recommend!
