This was a great hotel! The beach had a very relaxing atmosphere. The pool was more lively. The nightly shows were amazing! Every time we used room service our food was super hot! They did a good job keeping the beach seaweed free! I would definitely recommend this hotel for families or friends who want a relaxing getaway.

Well what a week

This hotel outdid our expectations of the reviews written previously

It was a fantastic week ! We stayed in villa 2 which overlooked the main pool and the sea !
Yes like other reviews there is a lot of steps but it just burns off all the food you eat.

We sat by the adults only pool every day - it was great, never had an empty glass , the staff were fantastic and attentive. The pool was lovely and relaxing.

The food was certainly special - the ribs restaurant was incredible !! We also went to Mexican and Mediterranean and of course the main buffet. Lots of selection for all needs.

I went to the spa and had an 80 minute massage , it was simply incredible and the facilities are great.

We went with TUI , so went to rhythms of the night trip one evening - it is a must ! It is so so nice and absolutely worth the money!

Downside is it’s quite far away from the airport and you have to get taxis everywhere if you want to leave the resort but it’s only about 320 pesos each way.

The staff cannot do enough to please !!! There is something for everyone

Fab holiday

Overview: Resort is pretty small for an all inclusive. Lots of steps so would not be a good location for those with mobility issues. Very pretty location, well landscaped, clean and most employees friendly.

Pools: Main pool is very small, hard to imagine it in high season. The adult or 'quiet' pool was likewise very small...and not quiet. Towel game really isnt played, but was low season.

Beach: Beach is small, but less crowded than pools. Water shoes are a must as beach and water are both very rocky. Waves very rough, be very careful of children. This is not a beach to do much except surf or boogie board in. Not a surfer, but was fun watching.

Entertainment: Was fine, music often to loud at pools, but thats normal at these resorts. One thing that was odd was that they didnt have schedules up of activities or shows. Typical cheesy nightly entertainment.

Food: Pretty good. Favorite for food was the mexican restaurant. Great salsa and guac made at the table was very good. Service was meh however. Close second was the steakhouse which had better service and food nearly as good. No waiting at any restaurant. Buffet service was hit and miss. At times we would be more than halfway through meal before water or drinks were offered, other times very attentive. Buffet itself was small, but thought they did great with multiple stations serving freshly grilled/cooked food. Were there for a week and never got tired of selections.

Bars: Pool/beach/lobby bars were all fine. What you would expect. Dos Equis regular and Ambar on tap, Indio and Coors Light in room minibars.

Weddings: Nearly every night. Reccomend getting a room facing away from pool because of this.

Paladium travel club: Worst part of experience. First gentleman we encountered was good. Gave us an overview of the resort, was funny and engaging and no pressure after we made it clear we were not interested. However...after that most everyday on way to buffet (they strategically place themselves so you cannot get to buffet without passing them) we were accosted by other members (original guy just smiled and nooded, never bothered us again) trying to get us to go to meeting. They didnt seem to understand 'No gracias'. Not sure if this is some new push by Palladium Group, or unique to Vallarta. Been to RM Palladium twice and never had an issue.

Best part of trip: Hemingway bar. This is saying something because we are not big drinkers. However this small, tucked away bar which you have to search for to find was fantastic. Same two bartenders everyday seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Great drinks, nice way to wind down the day.

Overall: Doesnt really measure up well to resorts in Riviera Maya. However doesnt mean this was a bad resort. Everything was fine...not great, but not bad either.

Room tip: Avoid rooms facing main pool, to loud during all the weddings

I’ve had an absolutely amazing holiday at the Grand Palladium! There is so much to do and so much to see! There are a number of pools around the resort, but we did end up sitting around the swim up bar 100% of the time. Not just for the bar, but also the people around the pool. The bar staff, the towel staff and most of all, the entertainment team! These guys made our holiday, they’re all fun and enthusiastic 24/7. The fun never stops! We tried pretty much everything from Yoga to tequila tasting, ping pong to water aerobics! We also had the pleasure of being part of Wellness day, which was soo much fun and it’s amazing to say that I’ve done it!! Sophia, Ali, Mikey, Danilo and all the other guys and gals deserve all the credit they can get because without them my holiday wouldn’t have been the same! These guys make me want to return right away. Already looking to book again!

Oh guys, HOW DO YOU FEEL.............

SEXY.

We planned a big family trip through our relative who chose the Grand Palladium. When I found out what we were paying I was worried it would not meet the standards that I have become accustomed to just based on it’s price. It’s a family vacation with multiple families and I thought we will just make the best of it.

Well what a HUGE Surprise. The hotel was great. The staff amazing. The grounds very rustic and natural. They have a small zoo right in the middle of the grounds. Multiple pools and a great beach

The kids club has the best coaches working there with so much energy and genuine care for the children. My children loved it and so did we. They put on a show every evening where the children performed. My kids participated every night.

The negative comments I have read were individual experiences that are unfair. Is it true if you have mobility or health issues this is definitely not the resort for you. You either are going up or down a ramp up or down stairs.

If you want to compare the Grand Palladium to the St. Regis or 4 Seasons then you aren’t being realistic but if you want a great vacation at a great price with a unique experience then the Gran Palladium is for you.
