We went to Casa Teresa on the recommendation of a friend of ours who travels regularly to Punta Mita. She said Casa Teresa has the best meatballs and lasagna she has ever had and we are in full agreement. The restaurant is located on a side street in Punta de Mita just outside the gated area of Punta Mita. A gentleman met us at the door who helped us find a close spot to park our golf cart. The interior of the restaurant is divided up into multiple, quaint open-air rooms decorated in a manner that gives you the feel of being in a Tuscan village. The service was personal and timely. The owner's son-in-law, Martin, sat us and the owner's daughter, Nadia, stopped by our table to introduce herself. Among our party of seven, we ordered the gnocchi, the chicken parmesan, the lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs and the malfadine with goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes so we were able to taste many of their dishes and there was not a morsel left on any of our plates. Glasses of wine were served through a special aerator attached to the bottle which was quite unique. The details for this restaurant on this site indicate the prices are in the $$$$ range but I would say that is high. We paid under $250 for our group of 7 including wine. If you are staying in Punta Mita, I would definitely make Casa Teresa one of your restaurant choices.

We figured we'd mix it up and take a break from tacos and guacamole. Little did we know, this would be our most memorable dinner, while away. Martin and Nadia are fantastic hosts, we truly felt at home. My boys are diehard football (soccer) fans. When Nadia heard this, she not only gave us advice about where to see football, Martin had a special soccer jersey my boys will treasure forever. We loved the beets/yam, pappardelle, eggplant and limoncello!

We came with a group of 3 couples. The atmosphere is amazing and the food was good. We we’re about 50/50 on the food. Half of us loved what they had and the other half was not as impressed, though we would come back and try something else. The menu does change daily and would recommend you make reservations.

Our concierge recommended this restaurant, and we were so pleased she did. The food was authentic, fresh Italian with an open air patio. We loved the selection of fresh pasta dishes and excellent wines. We will be back!

We have been eating here since they first opened. Good food - excellent service. Expensive for what you get, but great for folks want to eat off of the resort, but who don't want to deal with Mexico.

This restaurant no longer allows you to bring your own wine and they mark theirs up at or over 300%
