It was pretty full when we arrived for lunch at about 2 p.m. at Restaurant Martins Hidalgo (Av. Hidalgo #70, Col. Centro, Torreon, Coahuila, C.P. 27000, tel. 716-3003, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org). We went to the part farthest from the door where there were empty tables. Our service in this area was okay. It kind of looks like a Howard Johnsons in decor. The restaurant was having a 50% discount for ladies’ lunches on the Thursday that we went. Audre had a mixed salad that cost a mere M$36 after the discount. Dimitri had what he thought would have a light lunch because the menu called his item “pescado light” (M$132). It was a big order. We wanted to try what the menu called “café Mexicano” (M$15) and it wasn’t special—just coffee. We had one coffee ice cream made at the restaurant (M$28) that was okay. We spent M$231 and ate too much.
