“Best Value EVER!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2014

10 Pesos...that's right 10 about $.85 at the time. Very informative, extensive exhibits focusing mostly on Alamos. But Alamos was the first territorial capital of Sonora before it was moved to Hermosillo. Only takes about 40 minutes to fly through but you could stretch to 1.5 hours. Great exhibit areas dedicated to past luminaries from Alamos.

“Great Museum”

The museum is done by tony Estrada who is also a metal sculptor. The museum has many artifacts that tell the story of the silver town of Alamos.

“Small but very interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

Very informative and interesting museum to learn about the mining world, the way of life in Alamos, the famous people from town, etc. A must if you are in town... actually go ahead and do everything posible or you will get bored.

“An unexpected surprise.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

Have been to this museum before but still find it very interesting and unexpectedly elaborate for a small town like Alamos. The exhibits are awesome and the displays very painstakingly arranged. It traces the history of Alamos and on display are items related to mining, the mainstay of the town in days gone by, guns and numerous household appliances used a century or more ago. I have one request for the authorities. Most visitors to the museum are tourists, many of whom do not speak Spanish. All the captions and explanations are written in Spanish and for someone who doesn't know Spanish, this can be exasperating and leaves one second guessing.
