“Patzcuaro's favorite restaurant”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

Every time I visit Lupita's, I make the decision NOT to eat their chicken fajitas. Their grilled shrimp dish is fantastic and their fish and chips is a favorite. The arrachera is tender and tasty, the way it should be.
Their menu is large and everything is tasty, but I can not get away from their chicken fajitas, with chunks of thick, Mexican-style bacon, fresh peppers and onions, and served with guacamole and beans. I am a big eater and they have large portions. Most think they have the best margaritas in Mexico and I have to agree. There is only one big problem with Lupitas - they are closed on Wednesday.

“Lupita - with a guitar playing troubador”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

We stayed in Patzucuaro two nights. Ate there both evenings. There was a different, but very competent troubador singing and playing guitar each night. The restaurant opens onto the street and has an open courtyard. I had homemade Penne pasta (Carbonara) the first night-- it was excellent & I was reluctant to let my fellow diner's sample it. They were equally as reluctant to share their selections. We had the red Chilean house wine and it was a good choice.

The first night we were one of three tables of English speakers -- the two other tables were long term residents. The second night we were the only English speaking table.

Excellent service.

Lupita's is up the hill from the Centro square en route to the Basilica.

We had a wonderful dinner here, while were serenaded by a very good guitarist. It is a pleasant and open restaurant and the service was great.

“Yummmmm!”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

We had the best dinner I've ever had in Patzcuaro at Lupitas! Three of us had a variety of dishes, and agreed that the arrecharra was the best ever.
