We spent the week in Patzcuaro and would venture out to it's nearby surroundings in the AM. This hotel was a great place to come back to in the early PM to get some rest before walking to the Plaza Grande for a relaxing night. The rooms were always very clean and the hotel staff was always very helpful in giving accurate directions for the bus routes, tourist sites, etc. The only criticism that I have is that at times, late at night, some of the other guests were very loud out in the sitting areas and the staff did absolutely nothing to remedy this.

My wife and kids (10 and 6 years old) had a marvelous time staying at Pueblo Magico. Just 5 blocks to main square we had great breakfast and true hospitality from hostest.
Hotel is brand new and very well decorated, rooms offer true Patzcuaro style.
I can recommend 100% the hotel and stay there any time.

Very clean and confortable, room was small but it was fine for us. Love the bed the conforter was very soft and it was like sleeping in my own bed. Very colonial with all the corridors full of flowers and plants that make the place even more special. Having a place where to park our car was a plus for this hotel. We found it by accident and it was the best accident we had.

The staff were fantastic - friendly yet professional. We had two rooms, a double and a single. They were clean with a few nice touches such as towel arrangements. My bathroom was small but all the fixtures worked. I need coffee in the morning; the staff kept my cup full for as long as I wanted. It is a 3 star hotel that I would recommend to all except those that must have the refinement of a 5 star hotel

A really nice, cozy, confortable little hotel in a very good location (4 blocks away form Patzcuaro's historic centre). Neo-colonial architecture (yet flawless and modern), sober decoration, very clean facilities, nice and helpful staff. Good price/quality relation. Has a very covenient parking (just door to door). Very quiet ambient, and.....amazing beds! Ideal for a romantic get-away in this lovely mexican town. 100% recomended....next time I'm in Patzcuaro, there`s no doubt where i´m staying!

This Hotel made our dream reality, last September 15, 2008 we decided to get married in Patzcuaro, we were waiting for a magic moment in this especial place; We get some rooms for our families in the Hotel, the place is really charming, the decoration preserves the Patzcuaro's essence and the rooms are very comfortable, the Hotel is new and its location is close to the principal park.

Our intention was that Civil Ceremony and special breakfast were realized in this place, We always had the support of all the people who works there (even people who works as managers, they were really happy 'case of the ceremony). The Hotel gave us more than we were waiting for, they made comfortable the ceremony and we received some ideas so as to give a special breakfast to our families.

We mentioned our intention to take the "Tranvia" a little bus that make a route around Patzcuaro, the Hotel helped us to organize the travel, it was a great experience when the "tranvia" arrived to the Hotel 'cause it came in time and decorated with veil and flowers as a wedding carriage.

Our families were impressed 'cause of the attention, comfort and all the service, all of us want to visit again this Hotel maybe on vacation.

Now, we are a new family!

Pueblo Magico is unbearably cold. The night we checked-in, the receptionist was wearing his winter coat while seated behind the desk. This hotel is unheated, the only way to stay warm in your room is in bed, under the down comforter. The breakfast area is open to the outdoors so the poratble heater and fireplace in the dining are rendered useless. We could see our breath while eating, our servers wore full length winter coats. The breakast is advertised as American in their brochure, but it is continental and not served until 9am. The water is unsafe to drink, nothing they can control, however they charge you for bottled water so you can safely brush your teeth. Pueblo Magico is a brand new and quite beautiful hotel. Do not stay there when it is cold or during Day of the Dead, Christmas or Eatser when occupany might be high. The combination of tile floors, stucco walls and wood ceiling/floor act like an ampliphier so the slightest sound reverberates everywhere. It would be exteremely noisy if the place was full. "Fortunately" we almost had the place to ourselves. With the exception of the owner, the staff was very kind and did their best to make us feel welcome, for example they served us breakfast earlier than 9am. Only one staff member speaks english. Be forwarned if you reserve ahead, this hotel does not honor industry-standard cancellation policies. We checked out one night earlier than planned, provided 24 hours notice and were charged for the unused night. Pueblo Magico needs some serious majic to solve their significant problems.
