Los Artistas is a very pleasant and attractive enclave in Ajijic-- beautiful gardens (thanks, Jose), great hosts (thanks, Linda & Kent), and tasty (and varied) breakfasts (thanks, Socorro). We were guests there for nine nights and stayed in The Studio, which was a beautiful casita in the garden. It's an easy walk (although sturdy shoes are recommended for Ajijic's wonderful cobblestone streets) to all of the puebla's venues-- restaurants, the plaza, the weekly colorful and lively tiengui (market), and the Lake Chapala Society compound. Good choice. Another plus: Sasha and Sophie, the resident basset hounds.
