I have to admit I was looking forward to an omelet that a previous writer mentioned, but that was not to be. I was offered fried cheese between 2 tortillas. It was ok but I moped a bit about the omelet. The staff was very friendly and arranged for a car - 400 pesos - for a private car from the hotel to the Guadalajara bus terminal. It's the same price as a taxi, but the young fellow who drove me was polite and a good driver, so I was happy. I was in room 8 - very near to the bar. Luckily the bar got quiet by 10 pm so it was absolutely no problem. would I stay there again/ You betcha!

My room was perfect: a large king size bed, soft sheets, nice light and bright interior. Kitchenette which included a small microwave, refrigerator, dishes, wine glasses, etc...all that one would need to savor the leftovers from the incredible restaurants surrounding the Casa Blanca. Nice, quaint, private balcony directly in front of my room, and plants galore. Large beautifully tiled shower and excellent cleaning service each day. Continental breakfast each morning on an open patio, next to a serene fountain filled with water lilies and 3 very friendly turtles that enjoy basking in the sun.

The wine/sports bar is an excellent place for gathering, and for gathering information. We all gravitated to this area in the afternoon and shared our experiences of the day.

All of the staff of Casa Blanca were more than friendly. So personable and helpful, I felt like I was staying in someone's home.

I highly recommend staying at Casa Blanca, especially if it is your first visit to Ajijic. They will do all that is possible to insure you have an incredible stay.

We can not say enough nice things about the lovely owner and staff (Joseph, Merideth, Juan, and Jesus). They made us feel so welcome and comfortable for our stay in Ajijic. You will not be disappointed if you select this wonderful B&B for your stay in Ajijic!!!

We just returned from another absolutely wonderful stay at the Casa Blanca!
We had stayed there three years ago and were impressed, but it has only gotten better. The hospitality of the owner and the staff is what sets Casa Blanca apart from other hotels we have stayed in. Just like our previous trip, they went above and beyond to help us. You'll be hard pressed to find such genuine kindness and hospitality anywhere else.
Also, we knew they served breakfast, but now they have started serving a fabulous hot breakfast. They make your breakfast as you order it, so it's not on a buffet table getting cold. They make absolutely the best omlettes! And its included in the price of the room! They have remodeled the lobby and it looks great. There is a sports lounge now, and we had free happy hour each evening. It was a great opportunity to get to know the other guests and relax a little before dinner.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. It had a kitchenette with a refrigerator, which really came in handy on the days we didn't go out to eat.
An excellent value for the price. Highly recommended!

Visited last year and now, in 2009, find a sports (betting) bar and man-cave in common area. Bedroom reeked of cigarettes. Simple, small continental breakfast. Did enjoy shared rooms with private patio and fountain. Feel a bit fleeced that when we cut our stay short that we were charged for an extra night although there was only 1 other guest. Proceed with caution!

Appealing web photos and over-enthusiastic reviews sold us on Casa Blanca. Although they assured us they would pick us up and return us to the airport, they neglected to advise there would be a charge. There were no phones in the rooms. No beverages (soft drinks, ice) were available on premises or even nearby. Lobby was closed and no staff member was on duty after 7 PM. On returning to the place each evening, we had to unlock the front door and carefully wade through darkness to find our way to the rear stairway leading to our rooms. Our room was small but clean, towels and sheets were fresh, but bed was HARD. Staff was friendly and helpful, but improvement is needed in hotel's general offering.
