“Wonderful & eclectic”
Reviewed May 25, 2012

In Ajijic who would believe a restaurant owned by a famous Toronto restrauranter? Well Go le Club is owned by Pedro (Peter) from Fred's Not Here and many other Toronto theatre district restaurants. A new Club in his home. Food and menu by Pedro. Wonderful lake views and personal attention make this place THE place to GO! So Go to Go and have a fabuluos meal!

“Very nice evening”
Reviewed April 14, 2012

My wife and I arrived about 6:30 and were immediatly seated at a 2-square in front of an open window with a fabulous view over surounding area and unobstructed view of the lake. This was our first time here and we had to spend some time admiring the art collection also. The owner presented the specials for the evening and we ordered a bottle of wine. The dinner was wonderful. We each had a cup of mushroom cream soup, I had a seafood medley, my wife had northern pike, both were excelent and perfectly done. If you are looking for "Moms' home cooking" you probably should not come here. We shared a chocalate desert to die for and finished with coffee and brandy while watching the sun set over the lake.
a very nice evening.

“Pedro's cuisine is worth a detour”
Reviewed January 15, 2012

Beautiful view at sunset. Very interesting and diverse menu, reflecting Peter's international experience. Amazing what ingredients are available in the region. Maltese shrimp are superb. Thai salad (wonderful lime, lemon grass, fish sauce, ginger dressing), Executive Chef Peter (Pedro) Palmer loves to talk with his guests.

“Great views & friendly host”
Reviewed January 15, 2012

It's an interesting building perched fairly high, with comfortable tables and chairs and a view which is second to none. The host/owner is super-friendly and staff are professional. Big menu of tapas style meals. Of the 3 we ordered, 1 was spectacular, 1 was good and 1 was average.
We'll definitely be back for more.

“Just Go!”
Reviewed December 14, 2011

Each of Ajijic's better restaurants has certain strengths, and Go has several. It definitely has the best scenic view of the lakeside of any; a quiet view, too, as it sits more or less at the end of its street. Do go early and, drinks in hand, watch the sun go down over the lake.

Then prepare yourself for some really classy eats. Go's menu is a bit idiosyncratic: a wide range of hot and cold appetizers, and usually four different mains differentiated by the primary protein source (fish, pork, etc.) that vary by the week and are themed: this week the theme is Italian; a few weeks ago it was Greek. Pedro comes around to explain what's up with the entrees each time. Rib eye steaks are always available for the less adventurous.

Under Pedro's watchful eye the presentation of everything is very good. Predictably for a chef and owner of his experience, the sauces are sophisticated and appropriate to the dish; they run on the rich side, which is fine by me.

Appetizers and mains are fairly priced; drinks are a bit on the high side. Service is friendly and competent.

Hint: go on a weekday or else book ahead. Go can be very busy on the weekends.
