Roberto's is one of those restaurants that have withstood the test of time in our community. it is always good food and nice ambience. Dining both inside and outside, although if you dine inside you probably won't be able to hear the music if there is some that night. Roberto always gives back to the community, by hosting fundraiser dinners or by donating dinner for two or four coupons for local service groups to auction. Ever year he threatens to retire, but we are glad that he hasn't so far!

The locals gave this restaurant high reviews, but I found the staff to be a bit dismissive and not very engaging. I often felt ignored by the wait staff. Yes I ate here several times during my visit, to give them a chance but each time the service was the same. Food was good, but I found much more delightful service at other restaurants in the area.

Wonderful pistachio encrusted sea bass, perfect oysters, excellent salads. The chef is a gem. The prices are moderate. Ambiance and service both wonderful.

Not the most fantastic (off highway) setting, but as secluded as can be given it's off the main road. That said, it was a good, honest meal, well made and nicely served.

We have been in Ajijic for six weeks and eaten at most of the main restaurants. The best deal and food so far has to be Roberto's on the Carretera . We always go at lunchtime because the prices are right. Dinner menu is more costly for basically the same meal. Average price of a lunch is seventy five pesos, about five dollars at the current exchange rate. It comes with complimentary carrot croquettes with a delicious sauce for dipping. It also comes with soup or salad. I suggest the onion soup, yummy! The garden setting is divine and the waiters all pleasant and smiling.
