Nestled in a quiet area just off the main drag, it's an oasis of repose that offers everything needed for the traveler on business, or someone who just wants to get to know the Chapala / Ajijic area. Breakfast is created by Alix, the chatelaine of the establishment, and it's plentiful and delicious, especially the bran muffins! The gardens are verdant and perfectly tended, the pool is just the right size and there is a nook in the back designed for curling up with a good book. The library is situated on the patio, and the selection is broad enough to satisfy most people's tastes. The hosts are there when needed, friendly and helpful, and discrete otherwise. Altogether a delight - my wife and I plan to return next month.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good - it's a small inn.

I recently stayed at casa tres leones with my husband and my two babies, we stayed there once before on september 2010 and we loved it.

is a perfect place to rest, the house is gorgeus and the hosts are very kind and nice. they make you feel like home. the breakfast is delicious and also the everyday baked muffins.

I'd really recommend this bed and breakfast

and the price is very reasonable

My husband I and stayed at Casa Tres Leones in the La Cocina Suite which includes a full size fridge and stove, coffee maker, and all the kitchenware you could need...only thing missing was a microwave. We had big plans to make our own breakfast every morning, but Emile and Alix are such good cooks that we enjoyed breakfast on the beautiful terrace. Our suite had a very large terrace with two sofas and chairs plus a full size dinning table. We spent every evening enjoying a glass of wine in 'our' private space. We are in the process of moving to Lake Chapala and Emile was absolutely fabulous at answering all our questions and making suggestions...I cannot imagine a better host! As one other review pointed out, WiFi is nearly impossible to get in the rooms, but easily accessed on the terrace, plus there is a computer for guest use in the office available, just ask Alix or Emile. There is no bar as such at Tres Leones, but you can certainly bring your own wine and there are glasses easily available. Coffee, tea and some lovely baked goodies are available every afternoon. There were plenty of chairs for relaxing around the pool whether you are taking a dip or simply enjoying the gorgeous gardens. I would recomment Casa Tres Leones to all my friends...in fact, I already have!

Thank you, Alix and Emile for a wonderful visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to your B&B. The breakfasts were delicious. The views so tranquil. The room was very comfortable. Although we are very familiar with Ajijic, we had never stayed at this B&B. It was a true pleasure to stay at Casa Tres Leones. We loved how close we were to the village and yet how relaxing our immediate surroundings were. We can't wait to make another visit to this wonderful B&B.

Room Tip: La Cocina has a lovely outdoor sitting area

Tres Liones was a wonderful B&B. We traveled with 2 other couples. The layout of the B&B gave us space to relax, visit and have wine in the early evenings. It was close to walking to many restuarants so we parked our car and walked into town. Emile was extremely helpful in locating a driver to take us to Tonala and Guadalajara, when husbands tired of shopping. We definately will be back!!

Casa Tres Leones was an absolutely wonderful B&B to call 'home' for a week. My husband and I stayed and truly felt relaxed due to the lush gardens surrounding the pool and terrace, and the friendliness of Alix and Emile. The hosts are present, yet do not interfere with your stay. A delicious breakfast is served by the owners, no cook is used, and none is needed. Both hosts created enjoyable breakfasts on the terrace, while our views were of the village, lake and pool. With fountains flowing and the greenery of the gardens, you feel as though you are in your own piece of paradise. Coffee was always available, as was water and snacks. The room was pleasant, and the fridge was a plus. AC was available, but not needed. Walking to the village was very easy, and since my husband had had a stroke causing weakness on one side, this was a great plus for us. I would recommend this establishment to anyone going to visit Ajijic. I doubt you can find a more pleasurable stay with such great hosts! We spent a week and wish we could have visited longer. Positively refreshing and relaxing!
