“snowbird's weekly outing”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

every day but tuesday, sat & sun. there will be a bit of a crowd at 1230 waiting to get into tango. this is the hour of the "lunch special".. for $55 pesos, one gets warm bread with herb infused olive oil, and an entree choice which to my taste is just the right amount for a lunch. lots of art on the walls to admire..and of course after eating, one can stroll the the lakeshore area..always a nice early afternoon [and so affordable] have never had a bad experience there!

“Best Steaks in all of Mexico!”
Reviewed July 16, 2014

Ajijic Tango serves Argentina beef and they cook it the best that can be done. The flavor is delicious and it is juicy and tender. One cannot find a better steak anywhere. The have two that are my favorites. The filet for two and the flap steak. Yummy. Even for two people you will still have leftover beef to take home!!!

The prices are also good. You can't get a meal this great for their prices.

“Really?”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

It's amazing that this restaurant is rated #1 for Ajijic. The atmosphere is nice, sort of rustic Mexican, and the menu is extensive. The crowd is mostly local expats and you will be subjected to many of them hopping from table to table visiting and talking loudly. The service was somewhat abrupt. The portions are way too huge for anyone unless your idea of dining out includes being able to take home the next day's meal. Prices are reasonable and there are some decent well-priced wines by the glass. We found our food to be overly salty. They are known for their beef but we've had better elsewhere in town. Parking is a nightmare.

“Busy, bustling and loud”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

This is a very popular restaurant. There is an extensive menu, and the grilled items are very good.
It is a loud place, which many people like, Not a good place for a romantic dinner, but for a more stimulating experience.
Good service, attractive decor and ambience.

You will not be disappointed. Came here my first night in town. It was so tasty and such high quality I may return every day of my visit here.
The wait staff is very good, and some are fluent in English.
The owner is very friendly and accommodating.
