“Good Value; Great Food; Fabulous Service”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

This restaurant was recommended by the hostess of our B&B. It was a good choice. We arrived without reservations and an effort was made to fit us in. Reservations are recommended no matter the day of the week. Food was plentiful and tasty. Waiter was attentive and fun to chat with.

“Consistently good”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

There's nothing flashy about this restaurant or its food. What you get is a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere with good service and well prepared food which is nicely presented at a reasonable price. What's not to like!!

“Great place for drinks and appetizers”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We enjoyed sitting and visiting after our conference at Tango. They were quick with service and the drinks were strong and inexpensive. The appetizers were delicious. I ran out of time, but would have loved to have come back for a meal at Tango. I'll have to put that on my to do list for my next visit (and sooner rather than later).

“Great lunch deal”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

We heard this place is tough to get into at night, so went at noon. They had 55 peso lunch deal that was great. Try the arrachera sandwich.

“Always Consistent and Exceptional”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

I have eaten at Tango approximately 8 times, and have finally felt compelled to write a review. My father lives in Ajijic, and every time I come to visit we plan one dinner at the Tango. The location is convenient and easy to find, just a block or so from the center of town. Every time I have been there has been a wait of approximately 45 minutes, but it goes by quick with a tasty margarita in hand. The atmosphere is traditional Mexican and very charming. Bread is quickly served when seated, and the tiny warm rolls are DELICIOUS! The provençal dip is out of this world. I have always ordered the 26 oz. filet to share, cooked medium rare, and it comes out exactly as ordered. It's tender, tasty, delicious, and absolutely unbeatable for the price. For dessert, try the chocolate mousse if you are a chocolate lover- it's rich with the perfect consistency. If you're in Ajijic, you must try the Tango. It's a favorite among locals and guests. It will not disappoint!
