We go often to the Temecula Valley Wineries in Southern California and did not expect much from wine tours south of the border. Not only was it way cheaper but the quality of wine was excellent. We were on the Disney Wonder docked in Ensenada, Mexico and took their wine country excursion for $35 to two wineries. The cost included the tasting fees if any. This was a larger producer and they provided a great tour of the facilities. We even saw the grapes being de-stemmed. The tour guide was excellent. After the tasting, we were given a free bottle of wine each to take back to the ship. I highly recommend taking the wine tours offered by the cruise ships because you also get to see not only the countryside but they also drive through the down town area with a stop for shopping.
