5 of us drove down from LA - about 5 hours - the last 2 hours along the Mexican Baja coast. Lobster lunch on the way at Rosarito was very tasty and inexpensive. The staff at Endemico were friendly, the cocktails by the pool delicious and the rooms/ setting very relaxing. The view over the vineyards was panoramic - and the setting reminded me of Provence. Eco resort with lots of small animals and birds to be seen along the paths. Memorable but needed a lot more time to explore the wines and food of the area.
Didn't eat at the hotel, but at the extremely tasty and innovative Corazon de Tierra attached to a boutique hotel called La Villa del Valle. Slow food paired with excellent local wines, and very knowledgable and helpful staff.
A long way from Australia but want to visit again.
