We HAD to stop here as we were traveling to Alaska ( military families) and the weather was horrible. ( It was around 9 pm and the temp was about -10 degrees.) The owner was mean and horrid. We needed a few rooms, some pet friendly, and she was SO RUDE about NOT being able to accommodate us. We ended up regretting staying......my husband left his phone in the room and we called to ask them if they found it and they said no, big surprise! What a hassle. I also know that I left something else there, you would think they would mention it but NO WAY! They take advantage of you for sure! We spent $110.00 for one night in a small room with one queen bed and wi-fi access. The water that came out of the faucet was yellow! It definitely gave me a bad taste in my mouth about Canadians and that's a shame. If you are ever close to here, keep going! Try to make it to Border town which is 21 miles up the road and back in the USA!

My husband, son and I stayed one night in Cabin 3 at Buckshot Betty's. Traveling the Alcan in late September we weren't sure how nice the accommodations would be. I would stay at Buckshot's in a heartbeat. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant was delicious! The bread was amazing. The only negative thing I would say about this cozy place was the water pressure was lacking.

We spent one night at Buckshot Betty in Beaver Creek. While driving on the Alaska Highway, we had a stop over in Beaver creek which is just a couple of kilometres from the Canadian Immigration office. Beaver Creek is on the Canadian side, but I found that you can pay with US dollars at Buckshot Betty and many other Canadian restaurants.
There is no separate office for the motel. Your check in counter is in the restaurant. They seem to believe in the old way of maintaining a log book and recording the reservations in the log book. There are only a few cabins and they are located behind the restaurant. If you are travelling in summer, it is advisable to book this place well ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
We found our cabin to be reasonably roomy and very clean. The cabins are reasonably priced though some travellers seem to think it is too high. The reason may be that you have to pay for everything else. No free breakfast or free Wi Fi. You have to buy them separately. The owners would do better to include free Wi Fi and charge only for breakfast.
The restaurant is fairly busy in the mornings, many people travelling on the Alaska Highway stopping there for breakfast. The person who is serving food in the restaurant is a very friendly and jovial person. If you can catch him when he is free, you can get him to tell some of his stories about hunting.
We had breakfast in the restaurant and the food was well prepared in big portions and very tasty.
I recommend this place as a very good place for an overnight stay.

Room Tip: Some cabins are bigger. Ask for a big cabin if you have more than two.

We were four friends travelling together with two dogs. We rented two cabins, each with two double beds, so that worked out well. The price was on the high side at about $95 per cabin.

Our cabin was *very* small. There was *just* room for the two double beds. There was a small refrigerator tucked into the open closet, and a microwave on top of a chest of drawers in one corner. The old fashioned TV was perched on a corner shelf, looming over the microwave.

There was no place to put our two small suitcases so they both went on the floor - one near the fridge and one between the beds. I don't really like to do that but there was no choice.

The bathroom was adequate and had the hot water heater right there in the room! The towels were old and mismatched but seemed clean enough.

The interior walls were paneled in light wood. With only one window on the front, it was a little stuffy inside as we couldn't get any ventilation moving through. A fan would have been nice but to be honest I don't know where we could have put it!

The second cabin that our friends had was quite a bit larger than ours with two windows to provide ventilation. That was the pet cabin so perhaps that's why it was larger?

The immediate area is kind of messy, with stuff stacked here and there. Nothing really too bad, just don't expect a tidy well-tended yard. All the cabins had tiny little front porches with two chairs.

The internet was a $6 extra charge so we decided we didn't need it for just one night.

Although the cabin here was "okay", I think next time I'd opt to stay either at another motel here in Beaver Creek or stay at the much newer one in Border City, Alaska just a few miles over the Alaska/Yukon border.

Room Tip: Ask about a larger cabin.

Very basic cabin. Good for a one night stay. Place is clean, very small but workable. We would stay here again if in Beaver Creek. It does have TV and a small fridge and coffee pot. Only down side, charge for internet. Sorry folks, not going to pay $10 for that when most places include it.

We made reservations well in advance because we were traveling to Alaska with our dogs and I didn't want to be stuck in a place that wasn't pet friendly.

We loved our room (one of 3 cabins on the property) although even for the two of us and 2 dogs it was very small. The room was very cute and quaint. The mattress wasn't great, but it was fine for a night. I didn't see the great need for the breakfast bar in the very small room, but the fridge and microwave were nice. The charge for wi-fi didn't excite me, but we paid for it anyway because we wanted to connect with family back home and let them know we were ok!

We also very much enjoyed the restaurant! The food (both dinner and breakfast) was good, the service was very friendly, and the other diners and guests were friendly as well! There isn't much "to do" in the way of entertainment, but we were tired, so after eating, we went back to the room and just relaxed there and took the dogs for a walk. The buns were very good, too!!

How refreshing to be in a cute place as you're on a great adventure!

We stopped for gas here, and noticed a nice looking restaurant across the way, so we went over to eat lunch. We asked if they had rooms, they did--cabins. We cancelled our reservation down the road and ended up staying in one of the cabins. It was a home-made sort of place, but quiet and clean. We liked it and were glad not to have to face another pet room situation in a motel. The staff was great. Friendly.
