“Italian cuisine with a capital "I"”
Reviewed October 1, 2011

The owner Sandro and staff have provided above average "pricey" but worthwhile fare. I believe he has been in business for 20+ years. Going there is a treat - meal plus tax + tip runs $130 and up. Chose the table d'hôte $42 and had the eggplant appetizer - main course quail/duck in a rich sauce. Everything fresh and tasty. Great wine list. By the glass ($12) Pinot Grigio - Italian Beer $6. If you go from now to Dec 2011 you will have to detour due to Hurricane Irene washing out road from/to Sutton. A pleasant drive - don't complain just enjoy the scenery. They may be soon selling so don't miss out on a meal you won't regret. They know how to make a good martini and attentive at your table.

“Way too expensive for the average food quality that was served”
Reviewed September 22, 2011

This restaurant tries to make you believe they are serving fine cuisine, and they charge you accordingly. The sad truth is that the food was extremely ordinary and the desert was not edible (their tiramisu made me want to throw up). What we ate did not deserve more than 15$ per person but we paid 40 each. The service was ok however and the location and outdoors are excellent. You should go there for the "environment" but certainly not for the food.

“Excellent authentic Italian with some modern touches”
Reviewed July 19, 2011

Although there are very traditional Italian flavours, there are also some interesting items I haven't seen elsewhere, usually a special pasta as well. Excellent ingredients, great service and a good time. Highly recommended.

“Small country gem with attention to detail”
Reviewed September 24, 2009

Anniversary dinner was excellent with attentive owner and staff. Not cheap, but worth it (in spite of the weak US dollar). Lots of meat and country dishes on the menu; vegetables and salads were fresh and plentiful.
