“Beach Side and Great Views”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Located right next to the beach, this place offered great views of ocean and Sainte Anne, walks on the beach, and spacious, comfortable large rooms. Breakfast is also available, in a nice room with view in the main building. We enjoyed great service and an excellent recommendation for dinner (at the Poissonnerie Restaurant du Quai). Very recommendable!

Room Tip: Our room was close to the beach, which was fantastic!

On our way to Perce we found this very clean, comfortable motel. It is situated right next to the St. Lawrence river beach. Peace and tranquility all around with beautiful sunsets over the water.
The apartments are big enough for a comfortable stay and the small kitchen is fully equipped.
Go for an apartment as near to the beach as possible for the nicest views!

This is an interesting place. My guess is that many people stay in Sainte Anne for a night either on their way to Perce or coming back from Perce. There probably are others who are hiking in the mountains. We stayed for one night. There is no air conditioning, but because of the windows and screens on both sides of the room, one can get a good breeze going if that is desired. The room was nice and neat and had a good TV. The motel is right on the beach and there were many people who styed out on benches on the grass in front of the beach during the evening hours. It's very informal, but very sufficient - a bit charming in its own way because it's right on the beach.

Room Tip: They all seemed to be pretty good.

We weren't expecting much but a clean room at reasonable prices on our way to Gaspe, but we found a beautiful surprise. Backing right on the beach, you can open the front and back doors of your motel room and let the sea breeze blow right through. Great for evening and morning walks on the beach too. This place more than lived up to our expectations, with a delicious breakfast served in their bright, attractive dining room over-looking the water. Very friendly service on top of that. An excellent place for a stop-over (right near the entrance to Gaspesie National Park), or even to spend a whole week enjoying this beautiful location.

Stayed here for 1 night. The room was very nice & clean, however there wasn't an air conditioner! Temp in the room was 30 degrees Celsius(86 F)!There was only 2 windows that
opened, a small window above the bed and one in the door but you had to keep the blinds open to get even a whisper of a breeze. With the windows open the room only went down to 27 C (80 F)oh but they did have a regular table fan that you could move the hot air around with! TV was lousy, only 3 channels of english and they were news and sports (uggh) Sign out front says breakfast but it's not complimentary! $3.25 for a glass of orange juice! Really? No WiFi..but the lady at the front desk says there is a spot for hard wired..who carries a Cat 5 wire with them??!!They didn't even have any to loan...Paid $130 to stay here...I have had better amenities at a Motel 6 for $50...The bed was very comfortable even though we were sweating to death :)

The motel room had a lovely window looking out onto the grounds. There was a short walk to the sea shore, which was empty and quiet. In the yard are old gliders to sit on, which were very cool. The room was clean and well looked after. I enjoyed my stay there.

We checked into Cabin 341 for 6 nights and at first glance it appeared bright & clean but no ocean view - the motel units had the best view. As we were getting our things organized in the cabin I noticed dark crumbs around the wastebasket & cabinet in the kitchenette area which I thought the cleaning staff had missed when cleaning the room. However, just before retiring to bed on our second night I discovered a mouse in the vanity under the sink which my husband & I fortunately caught using an empty wastebasket and bath towel. I covered it and set it outside overnight and first thing in the morning I took it to the office where the reception staff were very nonchalent about it. One of the cleaning staff dumped the basket outside - finding the mouse still clinging to the towel. Their only comment was "So cute". I didn't think it was cute at all and insisted that the basket be thoroughly cleaned before returning it to our cabin. Luckily, there were two beds in our cabin and we were able to put everything on the other bed or on the upper cabinets - nothing was left on the floor or under the bathroom vanity. The 'dark crumbs' were probably mouse droppings and were still there when we checked out - confirming that the floor was neither swept or vacuumed during our 6 night stay and the room was just barely 'surface-cleaned'. Having paid $915 for 6 nights is not cheap and I certainly didn't expect to share the cabin with a mouse. We were hiking in the area with a group of fellow hikers - most of whom were staying at Motel Beaurivage -and we didn't have much free time during the day to look for other accommodations, otherwise we would have moved after the second night. Not one word of apology was made when we checked out.
