Exploramer was highly recommended by friends. It is a sealife museum and discovery centre. The information panels are bilingual - English, French. Normally, the two floors of exhibits would take between 1-2 hours, we stayed all day! Yes, the lower floor alone with its many aquarium tanks, is a fascinating study on sea life. You can get up close and personal, including touching starfish and sea cucumber at the touch tank (done with staff only -- they know how to handle the creatures so they don't get hurt, and you neither.. the crab was very feisty!). We joined a 1 hour tour by a staff member who was very knowledgeable (this was done in French since we speak it, so I cannot confirm if English was available). I could have stayed much longer watching the creatures. It certainly was my highlight. It depends what you are into.
The upper floor was divided into two parts. One part was a darkened underwater simulation where you could relax on one of a number of bean bag chairs while watching huge multiple screens of sea life and sea creatures. We enjoyed this very much. The other part was fun and educationally geared to children, though we learned much too. The displays were very interactive -- sight, sound, touch, smell etc. Inviting and everything working well.
We took a break for lunch just outside in the picnic area. Exploramer is right by the water with lovely views. There is a high observation tower you can go up to get even better views. The fee for entry $12.5 per adult, was worth the day's outing to us.
There is a sea excursion at an extra cost leaving from Exploramer but we didn't have time so I cannot comment on that. I have found out that some of the exhibits are temporary, but the quality is so professional that any exhibits there will likely be interesting.
