High class hotel but when we arrive the swimming pool didn't work altough it's sommer time. There are two parts of the hotel . One of them is a bit far from the lobby. Small sauna and reasonable breakfast. Excellent place for hiking . Nearby very good camping place!!

The front desk staff was wonderful asking us to choose the room in the main lodge that we wanted...we picked 3rd floor and center overlooking the pool which was not open supposedly due to no lifeguard. The room was nice, decorated with basic furniture. The bath was too sparse with harsh lighting kind of instututional maybe like in a college dorm. I hated the water it had a strong smell of chlorine and I couldnt use it in the coffee pot to make hot water for tea. One bag of regular coffee is provided. We had a full bed, sofa and a small table with two chairs. The bed is firm not mattress top or springy. Overall, we were very comfortable. If you stay here definitely eat in the restaurant which Ill review separately. It exceeded my expectations and it is fit for people who want a satisfying fine dining experience. Note the hours for the bfast buffet if you get bfast inclusive it may end as early as 9:30. I have also read here that it's disappointing. We ordered bfast a la carte and it was delicious. For $9 we got seasoned potato squares, fresh berries (local raspberries, commercial blueberried and green grapes), a generous serving of smoky bacon or 3 sausages, fresh fluffy whole grain toast, perfect sunny side up eggs and the best part was these AMAZING homemade jams. As I prefer they were sweet enough, not sugary at all like commercial jam and with huge hunks of fruit like strawberries. Their location is walking distance to many trails, else only a short drive. We hikef Mont Xalibu which was nice however if I had to choose then Id say Mont Albert is more spectacular.

This place has awesome rooms, great views and excellent five star cuisine. I went out at night and saw a Moose behind my parked car. There are some great trails and you can hire a guide. The staff is courteous and friendly. A great visit if you want to get away from it all without loosing any luxury amenities. Given that, it is a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Someone mentioned the rooms were old. I just didn't see that, the rooms were modern with a flat screen TV and WIFI

We have rarely been unhappier with a hotel than we were with this one. First of all 30 minutes off of the main highway through Gaspe, it boasted a pool and 4* accomodation - the room was the oldest and worst that we stayed at on our vacation, there was no air conditioning in the room, and after a day of hiking and driving in 29 degree temperatures, we and our kids were looking forward to swimming in the pool. However apparently in Quebec you can not swim in a hotel pool if there is not a lifeguard, and they did not even have one on staff! I had two kids with me and asked to sign a waiver, fully willing to be responsible for my own kids in the pool, but they would not allow it (and remember - no AC).

We then tried to log into the internet in our room, but the wi fi is so weak, it only works in the lobby.

Finally to dinner where I figured that a few drinks may make things better, but it was hard enought to find somethign on the menu that my kids would eat.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!

Le Gîte du Mont Albert offers everything we could possibly dream of for our holiday. It is a quaint, charming, historic inn with competent, professional staff, gorgeous surroundings, and comfortable accommodation with stunning views.

I've been to Jasper and Banff, and I prefer the lesser-known Chic Choc mountains in the Gaspésie National park because it is remains unspoiled: it has not become a human highway of tourists. It's still possible to hike and enjoy the more challenging trails without having to step aside every ten minutes due to heavy traffic.

The inn itself has been well maintained and it's very clean. Our room was spacious and we had a fridge, which is important because we get up and out early before the breakfast crowd.

I especially enjoy photographing birds, and there are plenty of warblers around the inn, as well as moose, so you don't have to travel at all to enjoy nature. As well, the people who work at the nearby Discovery Centre were very helpful in recommending new hiking options. As well, they examined our photos to assist us in identifying some of the alpine plants and juvenile birds that we had photographed.

The best treat of all though was an exceptional massage after our most challenging, all-day hike to a summit. I must thank Marie-Eve and Bella-Vanessa, who are skilled and very hard-working massage therapists. If you are looking for a pseudo, grease-and-go, relaxation massage, this does not accord with their ethic to provide top-calibre, authentic service.

We were also satisfied with the excellent breakfasts and dinners that we enjoyed in the lovely dining room. The wait staff, like their coworkers at the reception desk, were polite, friendly and helpful.

Staying at this lovely inn was a highlight of our Quebec vacation, and we look forward to returning.

The resort is located among the sea of mountains. It is one of the main attraction of Parc National de la Gaspesie. They have awesome dining facility. It is 45km inside the parc.so you don't have any other option than eating from the resort's dining.but its a bit costly.but for hiking this is very convenient.if you go to that region then you must visit this parc.actually i liked this park more than Forillon national parc
