We came here by accident, looking for another restaurant that turned out to be closed - forever! We were so pleased to find this little gem - the name means Dilapitated Old House in vernacular French, and it is a restored old building with a folksy atmostphere and very professional kitchen. Pierre and Lynn run a very tight ship - personal service, top notch food, a lovely table d'hote if one is very hungry. We especially appreciate the occasional offal dish - sweetbreads, liver etc., but have never struck out here no matter what we order. We have taken guests who have enjoyed the duck, the salmon, even the bread is always fresh no matter the time of evening we pop in - sometimes on our way to North Hatley from Montreal. Wine selection is thoughtful and excellent. This is worth a special trip....many of our friends in North Hatley have never been, but we return again and again.
