Owner description: Three fantasy-like buildings made up of approximately 30 000 recycled glass bottles of various colors and sizes, surrounded by beautiful flower gardens. A haven for nature lovers, recyclers and photographers. The late Edouard Arsenault built the structures in the early 80's, spending the last four years of his life in this amazing project - family-run for over twenty-five years. Featured in "Ripley's Believe It or Not" and "1000 Places to see before you die".

What a lovely surprise this unique attraction is. It is well done and well documented. The grounds are exceptional and the gift shop is lovely too.

If you like unique places or things, this is a MUST on PEI! The place is magical and well worth the cost of admission. The light inside the bottle houses was amazing and we were there on a cloudy day. We couldn't stop taking pictures of the buildings, the lovely gardens and the sculptures. Reading the history of Edouard Arsenault was fun. I would enjoy his sense of humor.

We stopped by the bottle house and figured that it was not going to be much and we were pleasantly surprised. The self guided tour was very informative and then houses themselves a testament to what dedication and a passion for something can produce. Well worth the money to visit once.

It's kind of neat to see if you're in the area, but not terribly exciting....and a little on the pricey side for what it is. It was a labour of love, no doubt...but not everyone's cup of tea. The staff were friendly and the gift shop is a nice place with some real finds. If we had driven great lengths to get there, it would have been disappointing...but if you're in that area, it's worth a look. Union Corner Provincial Park is nearby and is a nice place to stop and enjoy the ocean views.

This was a beautiful stop, so much more than we expected it would be. As others have said, the gardens are beautiful, and the play of the sunlight through the bottles a joy for the eye (and the camera). But mostly, it was lovely to read the story and experience the passion of a man who had a vision, and to see his family uploading his legacy. So much attention has been paid to creating and maintaining this piece of PEI history for visitors to enjoy. Good value for money. And great gift shop too!
